False Rumors about me Hacking

I just had a conversation with a friend who informed me that some ignorant people in Edmonton and Calgary are spreading rumors that I'm the one responsible for hacking several escort websites. I just about laughed my head off.

FYI for all of those involved in spreading these rumors and lies:

1. I'm not a computer programmer. l don't have the skills to program anything past hack a website of any kind.

2. I'm a website designer. I know how to make things look pretty. I know how to install and how to maintain a web server. I have working knowledge of CSS and HTML. .

3. Any knowledge I have about cyber security is basic ivory tower text book knowledge I've gained from webinars, research and conversations with internet security and developers.

4. Hackers are super talented developers and software engineers, who can reverse engineer the lines of code that secure and operate websites; i can't code anything that works past being anyone who could reverse enginer 1000's of lines of code.

I can't even write a simple working web application. I would have to hire an expert to write the app for me.

I know how to make things pretty. I do not in any shape or form have any of the talent, skills or progamming and tecnical know-how to even perform the simplest of hacks.

The people involved in spreading these rumors in Calgary are complete morons who are speculating and spreading false rumors and lies with zero facts or information.

Is your name like Randy or something? There is "zero" mention of this on this forum, yet you bring it up? Further, you advised me in my OWN thread all about how much North American security consultants suck versus the British. Then you admit you know little about it? Does Kevin Mitnick suck to bro? He's American. His success rate is 100%.

If you wonder why these sites get attacked it's not rocket science. A good portion of them are incestuous circle jerks built around mods and certain workers. There are sites which focus on BBFS. There are sites which openly attack workers who don't buy in their program. And you wonder why disenfranchised people turn their guns on these sites? All they need to do is call in the hacktivists who will, by sheer number, destroy everything. "none of us is as cruel as all of us" is an Anonymous saying. If you think you have a problem with an angry worker, that's nothing compared to 1500 "hacktivists" who will make your life absolute living hell.

To be frank it's not hard to buy into the message the "angry SP" has against that forum. And the reaction (and bullshit) of that forum only makes it easier to believe. You might advise them to hire someone who knows how to defend reputations online. If only for the sake of the PEOPLE who put THEIR trust in you.

Warlock, I'm a retired client. I am a dude. I used to post under Fiddy/Fiddy. I was a PERB member for 7 years before I left the hobby for a couple a years.

I've been ignoring all of these sites for 8 months. I had my fill x10. Without 15 people sending me emails I wouldn't even have a clue about anything that has been happening recently.

The exact opposite is true. I tired to help some the sites telling them what they need to fix to reduce their odds of being hacked. They ignored any of the advice.

Most of the issues these sites have are.painfully obvious flaws since most of them are so poorly maintianed.

Most hackers aren't activist. Most hackers hack to see if they can bring a site down. I would actaully compare most hackers to arsonist who love to light fires on the web to see.things burn. Others hackers hack to gather personal info and credit card numbers they can sell on the web.

I've been building and launching websites for 17 years since I was in my late teens. If I have a good understanding of how things work, it's from experiece dealing with hacked professional business webstites over the years. Somewhere along the way you learn from your mistakes.

I've benefited from working with smarter people over the years. I've been a part of teams that helped bring hacked business websites back online. I've learned a lot over the years working with such talented and brilliant people.

If a webmaster is not taking care of their website the webmaster or admin is at fault for the site getting hacked.

If the owners of escort advertising sites made the effort or spared the expesne to secure their websites they could probably narrow down the list of suspects to a specific hackavist or person.

When so many Webmasters of escort advertsing sites are lazy and take cyber security for ganted. Where do you start a list that has 10 million possibilities?

Most escort sites are in such deploable shape, every single hacker breathing air on earth is a suspect.

If a website I've built for someone gets hacked, the first person I blame is myself. I ask myself what did I miss or what mistakes did I make which allowed a hacker to access and harm my site.

My first priority is to fix the isuses that compromised my site. If I don't have the knowledge to fix the issue I immediately seek out a reputable expert who can help me.


Bad webmasters waste all their time trying to seek blame in others. Good webmssters look within themselves first to find faults they need to address.
