The 2012-13 TV season is already a month old and, as expected, returning favorites have remained just that — favorites. Naturally, this year’s best comedy winner at the Emmys remains in the Top 5 (way to go, Cam!), while Shonda Rhimes’ trusty medical drama is still fighting the good fight for ABC.

But how are all those new shows faring opposite the veterans through the first four weeks? Here’s the top (and low) rated dramas through Oct. 21 and what they are averaging in the uber-important adults 18-49 demographic. Remember, each ratings point equals 1.3 million viewers.

Looks like 'Elementary' will survive it's first season. Can't believe 'Revolution' is one of the strongest newbie shows this year!

How is Parks and Recreation not on this list? It is easily the BEST comedy on television right now PERIOD.

Of the 100 shows listed I only watch 4.

Happy Endings and DTTBIA23 both started this week and aren't included. And as this list is only of "Network" shows it would be interesting to see where cable /speciality channel shows like Mad Men, Homeland, Breaking Bad, and Louie would land.

noticing this list doesn't have shows from the cable networks. ie amc, hbo, showtime, and fx. b/c the walking dead and sons of anarchy are killing in the 18-49 demo.

The list is a waste of time since none of the really good shows are listed from the Cable Networks. What about some of the documentary channels or PBS?

Other than a few Football games and 60 minutes, I have not watched let alone heard of most of those listed.

I'm sure the Republican Presidential candidate is pretty much disappointed with the list as well since the most intelligent and important show in television which is " Sesame Street " with Big Bird and Elmo on PBS didn't make it. Its the kids of the 18-49 who watches it and enriches their mind. If he removes the subsidy to PBS, what crap will the kids watch then. This Bain mentality about profitability sucks.

I'm quite happy with the early success of " Arrow " of Warner Bros. and DC Comics. Nice to see something shot in Vancouver do good in television. Helps the local economy as well. Plus, with only a few episodes, CW picks it up for a full season. :thumb:

The cool thing about having " Arrow " in Vancouver is that you'll come across hottie Katie Cassidy regularly and of course Turtle as well. Turtle is even way luckier off-screen. lol

You gotta wonder why they where voided out, major networks scared to show that they are superior in catering to the 18-45 bracket.

That's kind of too bad about Animal Practice getting canceled. I was actually enjoying that one. It had Tyler Labine and a monkey! What more could you want?!

For new shows, I'm enjoying Revolution and Last Resort a lot. Also, pleasantly surprised by the new Canadian animated series, Fuggett About It, on teletoon.

While I'm mostly enjoying the show, a couple of the liberties they've taken with characterizations in the show of characters from the comics has irked me a little and at times, I feel like they're trying too hard to emulate Nolan's Batman movies (although I can't really blame them for trying to draw a similar tone to those films).

For the last few years I have been PVR-ing new shows I am interested. If they get renewed at the end of the season, I will watch them in the summer.
No way I am fucking wasting my time getting into a show, only for the network to cancel it halfway in...

Homeland is awesome and a great show for people who like looking at women with terrific bodies and it has a lot of nude scenes.

The woman who plays the wife is one of the hottest women on TV, IMHO.
