Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
Likely true.
Those smart phones are going to be a real problem for a lot of people.

Interesting you post something like this when just on the weekend I was speaking to a colleague who does Technology Security consulting. He was telling me that a lot of companies and celebrities are gong back to older technology like flip phones, at least for sensitive communications because the either cannot or are waaaaaaaaay harder to hack.
I'm not expert (heck my VCR is still flashing 12:00) that's what I've heard.

Cheers.

Is this real or an internet prank? Damn scary if true. Samsung has admitted doing the same stuff.

Everyone who can get you to accept an application that has access to your mic and camera is data mining you. If you have a new "Smart TV" with a mic and camera, you are being continuously monitored. Most people don't even know how to turn off the mic and camera on their devices and consent for the application to use the mic and camera is always the default.

I once told someone I go outside in my underwear to grab my morning firewood.
They said "What if someone drove up.. and saw you"
My answer was "They have invaded my private space, on my terms...Let em' look"
If someone was to monitor my actions or life, through a phone ,or my TV....The offending technology would become a 50 yard target for a Colt .45.....You want to watch me, it's on my terms.

The whole game is knowledge is power and it starts at the top with Governments peering in on our activities on line, via text message, via social networking platforms etc.

If you haven't seen this two part series on the NSA and spying on American Citizens, its well worth the time. I recall there is a part in there about all the data mining done by Microsoft, Apple, FB, Yahoo et al. After a lot of pressure most gave into the NSA wanting access to their data. Most significantly was ATT Wireless that allowed splitters to be put on their networks which gave access to all their clients activity.
