Finally got the ship free from the suez. Expect the guy that got it stuck won’t be behind the wheel next time it transits the canal.Highlights the importance and vulnerability of this particular water way.
I may be in the minority on this, but I found the issue to be extremely fascinating and am excited to hear more about the resolution - both from a global financial perspective (weighting the cost of uncertainty) and that from an engineering problem perspective (tackling a problem that isn't exactly unknown, but is rather rare and can vary in difficulty and complexity).

The memes were quite good. Sadly, that ship has sailed.Kind of sad to see it go, it was the source of some great memes!
A lot of hilarious advice from armchair container experts too.
Imagine being at a level crossing and a train goes by with 100 cars carrying double stacked containers.
Now imagine 100 of those trains.
That’s what this ship was carrying.
A damn big ship.
No disrespect to a mod,Yup, even though there were 2 canal pilots on-board the ships master gets the blame.
I was referring to maritime law, I imagine armies of lawyers will get rich on the civil and criminal cases. No disrespect to a mod,
but even tho the shipmaster gets the blame, with billions being lost I’m confident the 2 canal pilots will get theirs too. 👍
