At the risk of coming across as nerdy, Indians (from the sub-continent) ARE Asians.

Maybe SPs should be more specific and use the adjective "Oriental" if their ethnic origin is Asia but east of Myanmar (Burma). Or better still, give their (or their ancestors') country of origin.

Thanks for being "nerdy" I was going to post the same comment. But, badbone is correct. For whatever reason, ethnic East Indian SPs (which would include ladies of Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan origin) are usually described as such on the boards, not as Asian. As for "oriental" being a racial slur, it seems pretty generic and harmless to me. The Chinese place on Portage advertises in the Sun as "Oriental Massage".
