Maybe this is what everyone already does, but you might want to read through to the end. There was one issue that was a surprise for me.

I don't have a problem with deposits, at least for trusted sex workers. But I want to be sure that I cover my tracks in case someone looks at the bank account online or the monthly statement.
So here is what I do, step by step. I would be interested to hear if anyone has other suggestions. Also, this works for my bank, but may be completely different for another on.

1. Go online and go to the eTransfer tab. Select "edit your contact information". Here is where I can enter a nickname. I choose "Mike" but you might want to get more creative. Keep in mind, this nickname might show up later on, as I will show you so actually you should probably use your real first name but NOT your last name, obviously.
2. Change the email address to the one you set up for this hobby. Be sure that you change back to your usual email address after you have sent the eTransfer.
3. Add the sex workers contact to your contact list for eTransfers. When you enter the contact information, and this is really important, make up a fake name e.g. BJ Computer Enterprises. This is much easier to explain to an accountant or significant other than an contact like Pricilla Pussy or Jessie Juggs
4. Make up any password you like if necessary for the eTransfer unless the recipient has autodeposit enabled. Probably best practice is to have a password rather than autodeposit.
5. Send a text to the sex worker so she knows to expect the made up contact name, and the password
6. The sex workers email address will still show in your online transaction record (see below). SEX WORKERS PLEASE NOTE: consider setting up an innocuous email address that does not include your working name, e.g. BJ93175_L@gmail.com or something like that.
7. Send the required eTransfer. In the message section, DO NOT put in any details. Just something like "Thanks very much". See below for the reason.
8. Now go back and erase your tracks - change your email back to your usual one and delete the contact for the sex worker. You might get a message that there is still an outstanding transfer. I can disregard this with my bank.

This should do it. The one thing that caught me off guard was seeing my online transaction history. It turns out my bank keeps a detailed record of every eTransfer that includes the contact name, email address, AND the message I sent. I did not expect that last one. I had been in the habit of sending a message along with the etransfer giving some of the details for the session, e.g. "This is for a one hour outcall session at 7:00pm tonight. Thanks very much." I thought this was a good idea if the sex worker ever questioned whether I had done a transfer or not. However, if anyone ever went into the online eTransfer record, I would have a very hard time explaining this! I would also have a hard time explaining away some of the email addresses associated with the contacts - so again, sex workers, please help us out and use discrete email addresses.

I hope this helps save someone's butt. Let me know what you think and if you have any other ideas. Again, details may vary depending on your bank.

Good advice. Amazon gift cards seem easier and less of a breadcumb trail. Good when the SP just wants the card code sent to her.

Here is one other situation I ran into with a sex worker's email. One day my bank fraud alert department calls me at home to say that an eTransfer I recently made was from an email address identified as possible fraud. The bank stopped the eTransfer. Fortunately this sex worker had a discrete email address so I didn't have to have an awkward conversation with an anonymous call centre guy about BANGMEHARDWHILEIMOAN@Hotmail! As it turned out, the issue with the sex worker's email address was a bank error. She gave me a different email address and because I have seen her a few times and because it was only $50, I went ahead. The eTransfer went through, and I got the session I wanted with one of my ATFs.
So again, this speaks to sex workers having discrete emails.

Although my email for booking is kimpeccable@hushmail.com I do have a discreet sounding gmail account for accepting e-transfers :)fyi

Also, some may already be aware of it but there’s also a relatively new wishlist site called “Wishtender” that was created by a provider, for providers, and it is discreet and secure with no sign-up required for clients to use. I know many don’t like etransferring and I use Wishtender as an alternative where you can purchase a ‘gift’ and use whatever payment method you like, cc included. My deposit option is listed as “say thanks” .
On my online statement, the deposit reads something to the effect of “ACCT1H15VLL76…MSP/DV” so although I can’t confirm what it looks like on the client’s end I’m pretty sure it looks discreet. I can ask the next time someone uses it .

Lastly, although I have to require deposits for multi-hour bookings and outcalls, I updated my deposit policy to longer require deposits for 30min/1hr bookings but require additional screening in its place. PM me for details as I don’t want to hijack this thread to promote myself 😬

I mainly wanted to inform both clients and providers about Wishtender because its been really great so far and I’ve never had a problem with it! Highly recommend as an e-transfer alternative. I wish I could accept gift cards but they don’t pay the bills and I don’t want to be tempted into buying stuff i don’t need/ordering UberEats all the time 😛

The email that the SP sets up is important. A regular that I see uses an email address for deposits that looks like something you could easily be buying via transfer. Think auto parts, or office supplies, even consulting services, so it doesn't raise any questions.
