Well, if he is willing to pay that rate, he's either very foolish or is so steenkin' rich he doesn't care. I would think there would be a lot of ladies on here who would enjoy a week in Cancun and would be much more reasonable on the rate. I do agree though, best to meet someone several times first, maybe do an overnight, before agreeing to a week together. It would really suck to find out on the second day that you hate each other.

garypart brings up a crucial point. You need to get along well before the trip if you expect to have a good time on the trip. IMHO, you really need to have a completely different mindset. Having her along should be about the fun of sharing an adventure together, not about having a self-ambulatory blow-up doll. Treat her with kindness and respect, treat her like you enjoy her company for more than just getting your rocks off. More to the point, don't just treat her like you enjoy her company. Actually enjoy her company. If you don't, you won't enjoy the trip. If you do, you will have a wonderful time. When I was active, I did a couple of extended time trips and it was some of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in a very long time.
A week away with a special SP really crosses from SP to being friends with benefits that are paid benefits. Going to a foreign country will also mean you will have her real name too since you will have to book into the hotel, go through immigration etc together.
Trust me, I do know and you really do need to have a great relationship with her before it happens. Nothing IMHO would be worse than a trip like that for an extended period that goes south on you. The first time I did an extended was after I had met the SP in question only once, albeit for an overnighter. We had a great time together on the overnight and had a very memorable time together on the trip. Was everything perfect? No, but we worked out the glitches and we both remember the trip with particular fondness. Yes, it usually takes a lot of time but if the chemistry is right, it doesn't have to.
