This isn't just fear mongering. Our casual approach towards oral/ bare FS and even bare anal that seem to be offered regularly, combined with the increasing ineffectiveness of antibiotics which we've always counted on, is becoming very scary...http://www.bbc.com/news/health-40520125

It would be nice if everyone got tested regularly.. but there are pooners whose idea of sti testing is simply asking providers "are you clean?"

Back when I provided escort services .. I had a few guys admit to be they've never been tested.. because they're scared their wives would find out

Some of them read this board...& if the guys I'm referring to are still wondering why I never responded to any further session inquiries.. let this be a clue as to why..
So weird how would their wife find out? Go see another doctor then, plus its private client information. The doctor can't disclose, that would be a great payout though!!

Having been married , I know that myself an my ex had the same family doctor and SOME doctors mouths are easily opened by wives .... it may not be ethical , but I can very straight forwardly say that I have know many women in the industry that are more discreet, respectful and honest etc then many Lawyers and doctors etc :)

It is sad to think that so many people in the civi life are so careless with thier health :(
That's why I suggested seeing another doctor. Some people are just lazy until it's too late!

Go to a walk in, ask for the tests, go to a lab ANYWHERE, get tested!

Some have suggested common surgeries we take for granted may be impossible because of bacterial resistance.

This may become a life and death matter for all of us.

Also, a generation has grown up without the fear of aids or std's that older generations had. I had a friend die of aids in 1991 and it definitely made me careful. People today have never seen that and assume "it won't happen to me". So they do all kinds of stupid careless stuff.

That's totally against Dr/Patient confidentiality but I agree there are doctors who do "talk". At one point in my life I knew a doctor who would talk about his patients issues in detail while at dinner or get together's. As a person who is privy to an immense amount of private data I was always shocked at the lack of discretion. He never mentioned names but he did mention details.

Clinics are anonymous and once you've gone enough times it's no big deal. I think what alarms people is being seen going into the clinic or being seen leaving. It's ironic isn't it? You are encouraged to do regular check ups for your physical health, but not for your sexual health. Go to the doctors and it's admirable. Go to a STI clinic and you're "dirty". Kind of stupid really.
So Very True.
I get tested at the BCCDC clinic on w12th ave., there no signage that actually say it's a clinic for sexual health so most people wouldn't know.
