Well, I haven't actually watched it for a long time. I ended up cutting cable and subscribing straight to NHL Gamecenter. Honestly, most people probably get local sports info from Team 1040. Highlights on TV can be broadcast from anywhere.

going to miss his friendly ribbing of G Valk at the end of their segment–
Gary…Gary…you dropped your toaster oven. There you go!

looks like Taylor is moving to 1040 radio full-time.
never been a fan of the medium and I'm not about to start.

people still listen to radio?

Saddest thing is I won't have Caroline Cameron to wake up too anymore or see around town. Guess this means she's moving back to Toronto or maybe she'll stay and be the field reporter from out here

Caroline Cameron (born in 1990 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian television sportscaster for Sportsnet. She currently lives in Vancouver and co-anchors the national morning edition of Connected with James Cybulski.
Cameron graduated from the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College's joint Media Theory and Production (Broadcast Journalism) program.

I'll miss her. #hugecrushonCaroline
It looks like James Cybulski and Carolyn Cameron will still continue to host Connected from Vancouver according to Sportsnet’s Jennifer Nediol:

I can confirm that Craig MacEwen is no longer with the company, and that Don Taylor will be leaving the company on Friday, Aug. 8 to focus 100% of his energy on radio. Don has been crucial in establishing the Sportsnet brand in BC, and we wish both him and Craig all of the best.

Sportsnet is the proud home of the Vancouver Canucks, and continues to have the largest sports media presence in Vancouver. We will also continue to report on Vancouver sports as an integral part of our news programming.

James Cybulski and Carolyn Cameron will continue to host Connected from Vancouver; in terms of NHL, we’ll be announcing our full broadcast team closer to the start of the season.

Ratings must have been low to cease the Pacific regions Connected. Been watching Don Taylor since his Sports Page days and maybe his style has got a little stale for some. The last couple of years the local coverage on Pacific Connected wasn't the much different than the national Connected. Besides the extra Canucks talk, I not like they showcased much other local sports. For local sports we can still get it on local news casts on Global, CTV and CBC.

if i can pick it up i go with 710 espn seattle. now that brock and salk are back it's so much nicer driving into work hearing some sports analysis about the mariners and seahawks, instead of that bullshit that's on 1040. Jake and Dave's WTF moment. yes let's devote a whole segment of morning drive to nutjobs having sex or taking shits in weird places. that's quality radio.

It's a fact Evanka is a dime. And she is pretty funny if you have ever seen her on Tim and Sid

Maybe the reason Don Taylor didn't stay at Sportsnet. Team 1040 and 1410 will become known as TSN Radio as of Sept. 8. I think TSN part owned the radio station before so nothing will change on a local coverage point. TSN radio will now be launched in 6 cities across the country so we may hear other cities radio personalities as well.

guess that means no more doug maclean or john garrett allowed on the air since they are sportsnet. wonder what that means for shorty doing both the tv and radio play by play since one is sportsnet and the other is tsn now.

I am a big fan of Sekeres and Price. Yeah I get he has the 'whiny' voice but he's pretty knowledgeable I believe and interviews well. I've enjoyed sekeres ever since he was an insider for the Pratt & Taylor show. His formats of 'Tell me I'm wrong', Hashtags and Memo To are standouts. I will say tho, I would give the edge to the old Bmac and Sekeres afternoon show. Blake Price comes off as way too confrontational.
