I need some help with emailing digital pics. Say I buy a new computer with a WXGA screen and a high pixel digital camera. I snap some pics and send them to a bud who has a 5 year old computer. When he opens my email and pics what is he going to see ? Will he be able to open the pics at all ? Will they be sized the way I sent them ?

Conversley he sends me a pic from his old cell. When I open it what am I going to be looking at ? Will it be a tiny pic that needs to be enlarged ? If I do that will I not lose the resolution /clarity?

Help please!

If you're running Windows XP. just do a google serach for a picture resizer by powertoys, and you'll find one for windows that resizes any pic (does batch resizing as well) to a very "email-able" ize.

It will look like shit when really enlarged BUT it will be email ready. I resize 3-4Mb jpegs into 50Kb all the time. Your "less-than-computer-savvy" friends and family will appreciate it when they can open your pics right away and see them with ease.

Pretty much. A jpg is a jpg whatever platform you view it on.
