Hey lookers,

I had an unfortunate situation with Elsi. I had pre booked with her for her trip to Kelowna. Paid a $100.00 deposit.

Recently in my work environment a Nast flu bg has been going around, and I caught it.

Rather than proceeding to meet with Elsi , I decided it would be safe and not visit her.

All I asked was for a $100.00 credit for a visit in Vancouver.

She replied no, no credit , full price on a visit.

Is this normal? I have paid deposits for all different types of products and services and 100% of the time I have been offered either full or partial refunds.

I'm sorry you feel like my stance is unfair. I'd be pretty bummed if it cost me $100 to not sleep with me, too. I also really appreciate you not bringing me your flu because, as I told you, I can get to be a bit of a manbaby when I'm sick. That was very considerate of you. It's a shame I won't get to meet you-- I'm going to be pretty revved up when I get into town tomorrow after having had my hands on the steering wheel for five hours.

However.

I'm pretty comfortable with my decision to not hold your deposit towards a visit should you come to Vancouver. Touring is expensive, and I'm already out more than tenfold what you sent me. I understand that you don't get to decide when you're sick and you couldn't give any more notice, but right now I'm short an hour of work, overpacked by one schoolgirl outfit, and left with just more than a day to try to screen and book a new client in a town I've not worked in before. As I explained to you in my email, deposits are to just barely cover a touring slut's ass should some pandemic wipe out all of her bookings. Your deposit is not going to be a profit, it's covering a loss.

I do hope you get well soon and, if you find yourself in Vancouver sometime, I'll take you out to split a pitcher. On me. No deposit required.

Totally up to Elsi but I would give the credit or a full refund if she's able to fill the timeslot with someone else. RMTs have a 24 hour cancellation policy which the OP has done.

24 hours is not long enough to advertise, elicit responses, confirm references etc, particularly in a new town. The $100 deposit is for exactly this type of occurrence so no one feels badly or indebted to the other party. In the great pooning scheme of things it goes a long way to maintaining the karmic balance. And hey! He scored a beer with Elsi, which is pure gold in my book. Hoping to get invited along frankly (and shamelessly).

Is this a Costco? It was worth asking but its risk reward man - easy come easy go. I don't know if it happened in this case - but she offered me a discount to do the deposit in advance - which I didn't only because that isn't so easy for me to do. You set up a time, she committed to coming here partially because of it and you had to pull out - which sucks! but thems the breaks! I'm looking forward to me tryst with this firecracker tomorrow!

Elsi really is the total package. I saw her while she was in Kelowna, she's hilarious, she's beautiful, she's an amateur plumber haha, and an absolute dynamo bed. We had some great laughs over beers followed by one of my all-time best experiences in the bedroom. I really hope she comes back to town, otherwise I might have to make the trek down to Van to see her again this fall.
