No, he's not appealing the convictions, the Crown is apealing the Acquitals. Talk about trying to appear PC. Okay - the guy may be an asshole and abused his position, but none of the girls was forced, just coerced - hardly the biggest crime of the century - and he is not a risk to re-offend. Why doesn't the Crown appeal some of the more lenient sentences and acquitals involving violent crime and multiple offences?

The fact is sex offenders should be shot imo. It's part of the reason our society is so buggered up. Mr. Ellison is in a position of trust, he knows the rules, and he broke them.

Women and especially girls cannot handle harassment or abuse emotionally, that's why you see so many daytime tv shows on messed up women. (most men would love to be diddled by a foxy 25 yr old at 16 or 17)

We have a responsibility to protect females.

Yeah - I said as much. And he was convicted on many of the charges. Do you think what he did was actually worse than a violent crime that kills or maims someone? Do you think females can't think for themselves? ALL the girls he had sex with were willing participants because they thought he was good looking and cool. After-the-fact some of them had regrets and now, 30 years later - charges were persued.He was in the wrong, but I don't equate it with violent rape or kicking someone to death or permanent brain injury.

I might also add the crown announced the appeal even before the sentencing. How often does that happen?
