Harper Conservatives make desperate bid for "Rainbow" vote.

http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/elect...iour-1.2597956

I'll make a bet that Jagdish Grewal is just a little surprised to find himself dumped by the Conservatives for calling Homosexuality Unnatural. I'm wondering how this will affect the true blue anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-birth control voter? Will they be able to haul themselves out from behind their religious programming channel and go vote for the Harper Conservatives now?
They'll still vote Conservative. The Ultra Right has no other option. If they don't vote, I won't be sorry.

Source? Proof?

I've done a lot of searching on this subject and found nadda. Any Military person I know has a definite opinion that they are ultimately getting the shaft after serving in our Forces.

BTW

The ultimate irony for you will be when the LEO haul your Tory Ass off to jail after being busted at one of those Asian Micros you visit.
In your LEFTIST/COMMIE face.

wow, some sanity! Glad there is some hope here after all.
Are you delusional?....there is no sanity with regards to politics on the Left Coast.Vote in the NDP Provincially and let them rape and pillage....then vote in the Liberals that are Lefist in name only and repeat the process. Then there is the Federal Election where the Lefties get all mad about the proposed pipelines such as Northern Gateway as a new pipeline and they get all uppity about saving the "precious environment" even though they show up at "protest meetings" in their gas guzzling SUV's and feeling sorry for being well off compared to a lot of other people but they just have to protest over a "dirty" pipeline for oilsands bitumen....meanwhile the gas in their SUV's is delivered via UN-ethical oil via the middle east....yeah it is OK to subjugate women to Islamic law and treat them like objects.....just so long as it is done in a "green" way.

All the while Saint Suzuki watches and preaches from his 8 million dollar mansion that resides on a nice view at the Capilano Yacht Club for all of his brainwashed minions to "Do as I say and not as I do"

Good luck for sanity on the Left Coast.

There is no such place called the Caplilano Yacht Club. Golf Course yes but no yachts.

Hey SR, so I was wondering what kind of ethical gas you put in your vehicle? Surely can't be from the Middle East, right?

The Cons are going to get slaughtered in this election. The only question left is how badly?

Unfortunately, with the money they have to spend and their divisive and racist tactics, I fear they will do better than expected.
Question is, will it be enough to retain power? I'm not sure that the opposition has their act together sufficiently to ensure the vote splitting won't result in a Conservative minority government.

It is the job of the voter to give the opposition no opening for political games. Rather than repeating 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2011 - the voter must ensure that they elect a party that has no need to rely on the NDP. 2004 the NDP backstabs the Liberals because they won't pay enough Danesqeld. 2006 the NDP backstabs the Liberals who were all set with a non-confidence motion because Harper put a little Danesgeld in the Budget, once the NDP had their Danesgeld they wanted the Liberals to join them in a non-confidence motion. 2008 the NDP again backstabs the Liberals. 2010 (remember the prorogue?) the NDP has an agreement with the Liberals to have a non-confidence vote, but they enter negotiations with the Conservatives for a few little tidbits in the Budget. 2011 the Liberals won't commit to any motion of non-confidence unless the NDP stands up and moves the motion.

Now Thomas Mulcair wants Justin Trudeau to commit - before election day - to a coalition agreement because he knows the NDP will be the fourth party if he can't recover some of the votes he has lost. Justin Trudeau, of course, knows exactly how trustworthy the NDP is and isn't interested in any agreement with the NDP. Before or after the election.

Ok strike one...the BC Liberal Party is "Liberal" in name only....the Party's platform is more right wing than the Alberta PC's

Strike two..The Federal Conservative government has lowered taxes through all 3 of it's mandates and they also cut the GST by 2 points....during this time of 2 Minority governments and 1 Majority Conservative Government also dealt with the largest financial difficulty since the Great Depression and came out pretty good with regards to stimulous spending(argued for by both the the NDP/Libs) and going through that no Canadian banks failed or went insolvent unlike Morgan Stanley in the USA under the leadership of Obama.Oh yeah and they got rid of the gun registry and they abolished the Wheat Board

Strike three...oh those mad veterans ect....I guess you only pay attention to what the media is spoon feeding you.....there are a lot of veterans that are quite please with the current government and how they are treated but that is not something that is reported by the CBC under it's shrinking budget(facts are not important in the leftist view...hell I imagine you think "global warming" is a threat...oops I cant say "global warming" as it is now called "climate change"

Short and sweet.

If you think Justine Trudeau the dilletante trust fund baby who decided to get a job as a drama teacher after living the life of a millionaire and who got elected via name recognition is a good choice for PM....well you are an idiot.

If you think Angry Tom/Uncle Tom/Commie Tom is a good choice for PM then you should not have the right to vote as you have obviously not READ the NDP platform....never mind the promises that Uncle Tom is throwing out on the hustings....pay attention to the HARDCORE NDP platform.....that platform as well as all of the info on the newly Alberta MLA's vanished withing 24 hours off the Alberta NDP website when they won the election due to a protest vote.

It pretty much does not matter what I say though as you are a foaming at the mouth leftist who would even opt for a co-alition govenment lead by either Justine or Angry Tom just for the sake of getting rid of the Conservatives.

And for that mindset I think you should not be allowed to vote.

Lol. I do enjoy the clever little satirical posts you write storm rider.

But in all fairness, as much as we like to poke fun at stereotypes, you tend take the joke a little too far. No Conservative voter could possibly be as bigoted and ignorant as you pretend.

I stand by my words and I dont like your statement that twists my words. In no way did I say anything that was bigoted nor ignorant.I am well aware of who Justin Trudeau is and how easily he has coasted through life.I am also well aware that Angry Tom is a career polition who has a mad lust for power.

IMO either of them leading Canada being voted in as a Majority or acting togeather because they did not win and thusly forming a coalition would be bad for Canada.Mulcair is a socialist who panders to Quebec at the expence of the rest of the country and he does so to TRY and hold onto the seats in Parliament won under Jack Layton.Trudeau is the flash in the pan thought to be the next greatest leader by the Liberal brain trust....the same brain trust that figured that pussy-wimp Dion was a leader and then after him Ignatieff(AKA Ignortieff) and know the same brain trust opted for Trudeau because of name recognition and a pretty face with the mindest of style over substance....lord knows it is like shooting ducks in a barrel when Justin goes "off the script" that is written for him.

Since I was allowed to vote in a Federal election I voted Liberal with no hesitation though it did start to chaff me when I actually started to make a decent living with regards to the taxes. When the Sponsorship scandal hit the fan I jumped the fence as I was disgusted by the cronyism and kickbacks. The Conservatives were the most logical option for a pissed off ripped off tax payer who harboured a resentment of the Trudeau NEP when I grew up in Calgary....and now Justin Trudeau wants to bring in NEP 2.0....FUCK THAT.

MJ is infinitely worst than tobacco, the gospel according to the leader of the Cons.
There are 3 things I find deeply disturbing about that statement. Firstly, it is grossly incorrect. Secondly, that he has resorted to the outdated fear mongering tactics of the sixties. But the most troubling of all is his colossal misunderstanding of the word infinite. How can someone with such piss poor comprehension of the English language lead our great country on the world stage is beyond me:p

If the 18 to 30 eligible to vote stoners get off their bongs long enough to figure out how to vote. We can send him back to that town where his seat in the parliament represents which coincidentally is the same town as his mini clone.

Wow that is such a good direction for Canada.Get out the 18-30 year old stoners to vote. The 18-30 year old student/stoners who have never paid taxes nor worked for a living and get them to vote over something that they have no fucking clue over.Good example is some fucking idiot I encountered on Youtube. He thought Justin Trudeau was the shit because of the stance of legalizing GRASS.....the idiot thought it was so smart that he at the age of 28 decided he would actually VOTE in an election. Not just any election but a Federal election...he has never voted before be it Provincially/Federally or even in a fucking Civic election.....the reason why was because he was worried about drawing JURY duty....He never voted in any election because he was worried about getting tapped for JURY DUTY....obviously he is just plain fucking stupid as JURY DUTY is easy enough to get out of......but this idiot has never voted but now he wants to just for the legalization of ganja....that fucking idiot should not be allowed to vote as he is just a parasite.

It is incomprehensible to me that people will continue to vote for a party that has declared them criminals. Denial? Ignorance? Wishful thinking? Just believe the Cons won't follow through?

Accusations of Mulcair being a career politician? Ever heard of a guy named Stephen Harper?

Con supporters are so delusional (best money managers) and so dogmatic (Cons are the ONLY party that would deal with terrorism) they will continue to vote for the corruption and secrecy over and over again because they are so afraid of any change.

It reminds me of the US in the 50's and 60's who were so afraid of Communism. If your system is so great, why fear another?

Why so afraid of five years of change? If, at the end of five years the new government is crappier than the last, we vote another way, but to robotically vote one way forever because you fear change, well those are the people who need to get a life and investigate how the rest of the world lives.

We NEED change; it's how things evolve and improve. Maybe that's the problem - some people don't evolve into compassionate, thinking, innovative entities and choose to believe the scare tactics.

I guess when you know the world is only 40,000 years old there isn't much time to evolve.

Yoga is for commies! It's ruining Canada!

Seriously though, at least we are having a bit of a debate related to actual issues.

It's disappointing that with all the real issues....economy, jobs, trade, environment, ISIS, First Nations....astupid hijab one one woman is the main topic.

Because one day...you'll be served by a person with only eyes staring at you and asking you to remove your belleclava because you are not going to be served because your face isn't showing.

What do you mean yoga is ruining Canada? Look at all the ladies on this board who use yoga to stay in shape. And the local employment as a result of Lulumon?

It is disappointing that a woman in a hijab is being used as a smoke screen to deflect from the real issues... and that racist undertones are being used to create a climate of fear in Canada. The woman had offered to take the hijab off in private to confirm her identity? Why has Canada become so intolerant that it won't accept the individual choice of different religious minorities... when they aren't infringing on the rights of others. Her wearing the hijab was her personal decision.

I cannot say I would feel like a "criminal" under the Conservatives.Under both Angry Tom and Justine I may become a "criminal" after a new gun registry is brought in under either of them.Last gun registry was useless and it punished hunters/farmers.It was supposed to cost 2 MILLION but it cost 2 BILLION and it did nothing to deter gun crime as honest firearm owners got punished and not "criminals"

As for "career politician" that is EXACTLY what Commie Tom is.....for 35 years actually. As for him being in anyway fiscally responsible he has personally refinanced his OWN home 11 times.I dont mean he has re-upped for a mortgage 11 times I mean that he has taken EQUITY out of his home 11 times....what kind of idiot does that?....work with a mortgage calculator with any amount be it 200 grand or 800 grand with a set mortgage rate over 5 years fixed and running the numbers with different ammortisations...be it 10/15/20/25 years of ammortisement....crunch the numbers and if you are dumb enough to actually pay off a mortgage of $500,000 over 25 years that mortgage costs you more than $1,000,000.

As for "change"....the last thing Canada needs is a "change" like we got in Alberta though that was a protest vote gone wrong....the day after the Provincial Election Albertans gave themselves a double face palm and collectively said "what the fuck did I do!!!!!!"That kind of collective fuckup would be disasterous for Canada. With Angry Tom in charge of things we would have gross Corporate tax hikes as well as persoanl tax hikes as well as a carbon tax and all so that the NDP could tax and spend MORE on social programs whilst at the same time killing investment in Canada.....except of course for the unionized jobs in Ontairio in the automotive sector.

Down in the USA they got "change" and just look at the USA.Obama has never passed a budget as it would get rejected by Congress ans the USA has gone into debt by more than 6 Trillion since Obama took office....yeah thats real good "change"

Justin Trudeau walks into a Royal Bank to cash a cheque. As he approaches the
cashier he says, "Bonjour,
Madame, could you please cash this cheque for
me?"
Cashier: "It would be my pleasure sir. Could you
please show me your
ID?"

Trudeau: "Truthfully, I did not bring my ID with me as I
didn't think there was any need to. I am Justin Trudeau, the leader of
the Liberal Party of Canada!"
Cashier: "Yes sir, I know who you are, but with all
the regulations and monitoring of the banks because of impostors and
forgers and requirements of the CIDC legislation, etc., I must insist on
seeing ID."

Trudeau: “Just ask anyone here at the bank who I am and they
will tell you. Everybody knows who I am."
Cashier:
"I am sorry, Mr. Trudeau, but these are the bank rules and I must follow
them."

Trudeau: "Mon dieu. I am urging you, please, to cash this
cheque."

Cashier:
"Look Mr. Trudeau, here is an example of what we can
do.

One
day, Tiger Woods came into the bank without ID. To prove he was Tiger
Woods he pulled out his putter and made a beautiful shot across the bank
into a cup. With that shot we knew him to be Tiger Woods and cashed his
cheque.

Another
time, Andre Agassi came in without ID. He pulled out his tennis racket
and made a fabulous shot whereas the tennis ball landed in my cup. With
that shot we cashed his cheque.

So,
Mr. Trudeau, what can you do to prove that it is you, and only
you?"

Trudeau
stands there thinking, and thinking, and finally says, "Honestly, my
mind is a total blank...there is nothing that comes to my mind. I can't
think of a single thing. I have absolutely no idea what to do and I
don't have a clue."

Cashier:
"Will that be large or small bills, Mr. Trudeau?"
