I'm surprised no one hasd mentioned Namcy Phillips up until now. She is a gorgeous doll. Represented Canada in the 1993 Miss Universe pageant. I like Tara Nelson too. She went to Victoria as far as I know but is back again. Have not seen her doing the news since but usually always watch CFRN. Yes Mikryr, I do remember Jennifer Lyall. Where is she now? My other favourite from years ago was at ITV, Jacqueline Clark(e). What a beautiful lady!!!

One more name to toss in: what do you guys think of Shannon Tyler? I don't listen to 96X that much (because I think becoming an alt-rock station 10 years too late is ludicrious), but her voice has gotten sexier since she switched to radio. And she's always been hot-looking in my opinion.

And finally: I'm seeing a slight trend of the TV stations towards hiring dogs as on-air personalities.

Speaking of looks, tonight the RN anchors were at a fund raiser and there was a live hit during the 6:00PM news. GAWD did Carrie look lovely in a strapless gown with her hair up. Yum yum

As for the recent trend toward dogs, I cite Deborah Shiry at CFRN and Bridget Ryan at A-Channel as examples.

Speaking of love, A-Channel's Steve Antle (whose Arrogant Worm friends call him Snuffleupagus) and pretty Stephanie Beaumont will tie the knot in Nova Scotia this fall.

Country singer and media personality Stephanie had just come to Edmonton to join CISN-FM, when she met Steve on the patio of the Thornton Court Hotel.

Love at first sight, says Steve. "We hit it off. I knew from the start she was the one."

The two kept the mutual attraction quiet, even after Stephanie came to A-Channel to work.

Last fall, the relationship went long-distance. Stephanie moved to Ottawa, where she now hosts a morning show on the new CHUM TV station.

Congratulations!

But does this mean Steve will leave the big breakfast show once married? "I have no plans to leave," says Steve. "But much will depend on our careers. Eventually, when our parents are older, we want to return to the Maritimes."

Since I can't really stand any of the poll choices, I'm going to submit a write-in vote: Brienne Hurlburt of Global, who anchors the Saturday morning news from 8 AM to 10 AM. OK, she's a bit dim, but she's quite hot.

Well I turned on the TV this morning to see this hottie at the anchor desk:

Anyone remember Leslie Miller? Saw her at the Thunderdome <now The Tonic> a few years ago and she was all decked out in black leather. She was smoking hot that night. My haw hit the ground and my tounge rolled out of my mouth when she walked by.

Someone else I think is kinda cute is Stacy Brotzel from A-Channel. I don't think I've seen her since the strike started (c'mon people - it's been 4 months already!)

Just watched A-Channel's news. I'm so glad Stacy's back from the picket line! She's got the cutest smile.

So what do you guys think of this new weather chick on A-Channel who replaced Dawn Chubai? Not bad, I suppose.

BTW, I met Ms. Chubai in the lunchtime lineup at the downtown Sunterra a couple of weeks ago. Conversing with her, you'd think that she was a contestant at a beauty pageant...totally fake and overscripted speech. Come to think of it, just like her weather broadcasts. Lovely eye candy but not much of a meteorologist. Apologies to the Dawn fans, but I had to say it.

And I agree with TOFTT on including reporters in the next poll. Olivia Cheng on Global is particularly hawt.
