What a disappointing end to an otherwise great game. Like rub n tugz said, Oilers owned the game 'till the 3rd. Then they lose it on the hockey equivalent of a baseball error.
Not surprising though. When Roli went off the ice, he took any chances that the Oil have of winning the cup with him.

well i just got home form work...I saw the game on and off......I heard that Rolo got injured in the third!!!
Well ..thanks obviously bad news for the Oilers......now I haven't heard how bad it is.....and nothing against Conklin.....god knows he cold as ice and hasn't played in ages......but if the oilers lose ROLO.....they're done like cooked chicken!!!
And as I stated on my previous post above.....I fucking hate Carolina too....!!!!
It should be Buffalo there not them.....Fucking injuries killed Buffalo....

Let's hope ROLO isn't hurt bad....for the oilers sake anyway!!!

And by the way....i heard the oilers were up 3 -0 !!! WTF happened!!!

I felt so bad for Roloson. He's spends the majority of his career as a journeyman-second stringer when he gets a chance to prove himself. He grabs the bull by the horns and comes through for his team, then gets his knee blown out just when he's on the verge (perhaps his one and only opportunity) of realizing a dream. That sucks.

I feel fo rhim too......With Edmonton....with what they are doing now in the playoffs!!!
it's huge boost of confidence with this team going into next year....I think ROLO will be back.....despite what happens now with Edmonton!
And besides.....I don't think ROLO wants to end his career like this....He's a veteran.....he has a good couple of years left in him....

Get OFF Conklin's back...... Bergeron was directly responsible for 3 of the 5 goals scored by Carolina.
If you want to point fingers that's where to point. While the rest of the team was playing their asses off he was out for a leisurely skate.

The Oilers had a 3-0 lead and Conklin is the bad guy.....I don't think so

O'K here's the deal......Edmonton got killed tonight.....so what does Edmonton have to do!!!!???
Can't blame MARKKANEN.....or Conklin if he plays the next game.....these poor Goalies Are cold as ice as I stated before.......no fault to them.....Oilers have to stay out of the penalty box BIG TIME!!!! And most important....Oilers have to do what Carolina ( those fuckers ) did to Buffalo and ROLOSTON!!!
Oilers have to take out CAM WARD and maybe a top forward..!!!! that's what Carolina's done if you've followed the Buffalo and this series so far.....I know it's not right...but hey....Hockey is a game and war....and war isn't fair...teams will do whatever it takes to win...and Carolina is doing it ....just no ones talking about it......and by the way....you can take out players cleanly too.....Oilers have to do this or they're gone....they might as well go 4 straight then....they have nothing to lose at this point....that's my input!!!
Also.......they are 2 for 13 on the powerplay!!!! O'K guys....it's not the goalies!!!

The Oilers did come back from a 0-2 deficit against San Jose so I ain't giving up on them yet. I do forsee some lineup changes though, maybe Harvey and Winchester replacing Dvorak and another forward. The defense could use a shake-up as well.

Why can't Oilers take out Carolina top players, it'd be dirty hockey so what?! that's what Carolina been doing during these playoffs. Look at what they did to Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo and now Edmonton. I can't believe how lucky Carolina is. Everything is going their way and going wrong to whoever their opponent is. Everytime they play an opponent, it seems that whoever the other team is, their opponent team will lose their top players. Oilers have to play rough to avoid sweeping.

Game 2 was brutal: Markkanen was good in goal and kept them in the game,
but it was stupid penalties and 'chasing the puck' that tanked Edmonton.

they really need to just establish their game, believe in their goalie, and
stay out of the box!

Cherry brought up a good point that the Oilers almost never play Laroque ...
why not? he may not be scoring tons of goals but unless he's hurt,
he can get out there and throw some big hits ...
