I think the accepted theory is that the combination of the wrestling "life" combined with his past years of drug and alcohol abuse got the better of him. I didn't hear of any pre existing condition which, at that age you would suspect. Steroids had to have been a factor I would think.

well to his credit he was clean and sober at the time of his death and had been for a while, he had a heart attack, poor guy was at the peak of his career, viva la raza!!!
