eBay virgin has some questions

I've never used eBay before, but have been looking at the site for the last couple of days. I'm interested in buying some golf clubs, browsing the site it looks like I could save at least $300 by bidding on eBay and paying the shipping costs, rather than buying from a local retailer.

My main concern is what if I find out subsequent to the sale that I've bought counterfeit clubs.

What remedy would I have or am I just SOL?

Anyone have any experience buying golf clubs off of eBay?

When you buy on ebay look at the sellers history, you will see a rating and that will tell you how honest he/she is, but your generally SOL if you get the wrong stuff. If you pay by paypal you would have a small insurance.

If the seller has been around for a while they could have thousands of transactions, go read the comments people left that will tell you if they get want they ordered...
