myself. Liberal party.. sure, they got some scandals going on.. but the canadian economy has been very strong lately..
Canadian philosopher Ursula Franklin has a phrase for this kind of behaviour: moral dyslexia. “Unfortunately, unlike those with learning disabilities, who need and appreciate help, those who have moral disabilities don't come to us for help. ...Most of them are morally disabled by their own choice.”

It did not take long for that moral dyslexia to show up. Convinced that his coronation as Liberal leader would also deliver him ten years of majority government, in December, 2003, newly minted Prime Minister Martin appointed the most right wing cabinet in almost 30 years. In areas of defence, foreign affairs, trade and finance, he out-did even Brian Mulroney as he prepared to finish the job he had started in finance.

He picked former Tory Scott Brison (right wing economically and proudly pro-America) as parliamentary secretary for Canada-U.S. relations. He appointed a legislative secretary, John Mckay, to be in charge of privatizing government services — through public private partnerships. There was not a single powerful voice in any post dealing with social issues — and almost no mention of such issues in the throne speech.

All I can say is that as long as we don't have a majority Conservative government, I'll be happy....doesn't really matter who I vote for, as long as I can help the Conservative loose one seat, and help keep Canada with a minority PC government,

With this I can sleep at night knowing that we won't be at the mercy of Bush with his new bed buddy Harper.

Cheers

Regardless of what the Harper's team says

I don't trust them around the abortion issue. I have never had one, and most likely never would...but that doesn't mean I don't want it to be legally available for every other woman in Canada. If I had to pick the right to bear arms over the right to what I choose to do with my own body, I pick the latter. While abortion stops a beating heart, back alley, illegal abortions can stop two.

typical eastern attitude.
can i ask you exactly what makes you think that you are so superior to anyone east of manitoba? have you ever even past the eastern alberta border???

lets also say that for work purposes you had to move to toronto or montreal for work, just hypethetically. you have lived there for 20+ years. you still gonna be a canuck fan? more then likely. its something you grow up with man. people long for their youth, if they grow up loving a team in their youth chances are thats gonna be their team forever no matter how many times they move from that area, because that was the fun time in their lives. they remember the good times they had watching that team in their youth.

some of you uppity western superiority complexed individuals really perplex me. i really don't get what makes you think you are so much better then someone from ontario, new brunswick, ect, ect.............................

oh and by the way i'm voting for liberal all the way. i really hope the polls are just off and this the way canadians really do feel. i mean the polls can be wrong how many people do they poll? 1000 maybe? maybe they are just not getting the ones on the phone that feel differently. sure hope thats the case. doesn't it always seem like the toughest times for the average person is under a conservitive government?

under mulroney conservitives we had the canadian resession. shit man so many people were poor then and it was so hard to find a job for so many people.

then liberals, everything started picking up.

the u.s.a.

george senior - resession

clinton - good times

george junior - lagging economy
