I tell him to piss off, he's been running that scam for five years, I've seen him many times.

He says "give me some money then."

Ran into him or one of his ilk 5-6 years ago. I told him to fuck off before I hit him. He avoided me and didn't pull the scam in front of me after that. I used to do security downtown and knew most of them by name. Most of them were absolute thieving scumbags and I'd get a kick out of good samaritans being offended by my replies when I wasn't working.

I told a guy named "Larry" that I once tackled for a purse snatching to "fuck off" and some affluent assholes who saw it decided to treat his ass to pizza and gave him $50 in front of me.

They sure showed me!

About three years ago, after a fine evening at Blue Water Cafe in Yaletown, I floored someone pulling the same threatening act on me just as I was getting into my vehicle. I called 911, waited and then outlined the incident to the officers who then advised me that it was OK to leave... never heard from them since. Dumb f*ck indeed and I won't even get into the subject matter of free crack pipes.

There is a successful accountant in Winnipeg that dresses up in bum clothes and goes out begging for money after work.

This happened in a lane off Seymour at Hastings, but I've run into him everywhere downtown and from West Broadway near the London Drugs all the way up Granville at 12th and even once in Kerrisdale.

He sounds allmost as bad as the "shakey lady" in Toronto.....she is a Rumanian gypsey who sits in various spots in downtown T.O and just shakes/convulses...she does not say a thing...just shakes & convulses and gets handed a shitload of money out of sympathy (mostly by tourists) she was exposed by the media a few years ago but still does it...a couple years back an American couple were about to give her a $50 and a Torontonian stopped them and told them she is a fraud....they went on their way and the old gal jumped up spryly and wacked the guy upside the head with her cane.

Personally I dislike scammers/panhandlers a bunch...a couple years back I had some guy give me a story about how his car was out of gas and he needed money so I asked to see his drivers licence/car keys...he just walked away without saying anything.....and about 8 months ago a young gal was doing the same thing at a strip mall...she would approach people and tell them she was on the way to Lethbridge and her car ran out of gas and yadda yadda...she approached me 3 times and I told her to fuck off.....strange how she was stranded for a week...a couple days later I see her doing the same thing and I told the guy who was about to give her cash that she had been doing this for over a week...he did not give her the cash and I went inside to make a delivery....on my way out her boyfriend half-assed confronted me and my response was.....why the fuck dont you get a job and support your woman you POS...instead of lamely pimping her on the street begging for money for you......I came across very aggressive and he fucked off real quick.....I work too hard for my cash to give it to people who dont want to work.
