Banff is a really nice drive especially if you are used to Manitoba flatlands. Extra points for visiting Moraine Lake, featured on our twenty dollar bill.Any good spots to go for a drive and see the sites around Calgary?
I haven't been there since I was a kid. It would be fun to revisit! On the way to Calgary a small detour up to Drumheller and the Royal Tyrell museum is worth it especially if you have any interest in palaeontology.
i can 2nd that, did that a year ago with the kids on the way up to The Banff area for a ski trip. Kids loved it!On the way to Calgary a small detour up to Drumheller and the Royal Tyrell museum is worth it especially if you have any interest in palaeontology.
That's the problem most of their dinosaurs are quite old ...Tyrell is a world class attraction!
I saw it in the 90s and it is totally different, infinitely better.
That was the intention of my post but hey it's all goodGiven the nature of this website, I assumed the OP’s original question was a euphemism for the street scene in Calgary.
But good to know we’ve branched off into the Tripadvisor realm!
I’m surprised the mod didn’t close this thread as it kinda got hijacked …. In a good way hahaThat was the intention of my post but hey it's all good

I was there in the mid 90s on a high school trip. Part of the workshop was in the lab, matching and gluing bone fragments back together like puzzle pieces. It was pretty awesome.Tyrell is a world class attraction!
