Looking forward to downsizing one day, get rid of a ton or stuff that is tucked away in closets, spare rooms etc.
It's my cars I am not looking forward to downsizing to fit in reduced parking.
Downsize the house size, but will need 3 - 4 parking spots for the toys.

The Norden table is a good option. If you aren't needing a table for entertaining, and it is just for personal use, a lift up coffee table works brilliantly. It's also the perfect height when you sit on a couch for doing computer work. Most also have storage space for blankets etc.

Clothing storage is always challenging. The most logical place is to store it under your bed. Ikea has some good storage beds with 4-6 cupbards, some quite tall, that utilize the entire space under the bed. Some storge beds have cupboards that waste a lot of area.

There is also the option of a queen sized bunk bed minus the bottom bed. The bottom is most often utilized as office space with a desk etc. However I have seen people add rods to hang clothing on, and cupboards/dressers etc. for other clothing storage. If you are really innovate, you could even have both underneath.

Best wishes with all of it!

There's usually space under the bed as the smart and talented Lady Companion points out! My king bed discreetly has a number of 6" high Rubbermaid 3q30 containers underneath for clothing and stuff that doesn't fit neatly in wardrobe, drawers or dresser.

Those storage boxes are great.

For winter and summer shoes, garments and jackets; I use these bags and containers

Try the IKEA Norden table... I think it's what you're looking for: https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/70290223/

It comes in white and birch... AND it's on sale until Easter Monday... just saying...
OMG that is exactly what I was envisioning! Thank you!! I was at IKEA the other day but on a different mission so didn't notice this. The drawers are a bonus :)

FreeG: I liked that video, thanks for sharing. "We don't need 18 knives" lol Yes, more ambitious than what I'm setting out to do, but some good suggestions on storage.

BBB: lol omg... are you that excited about your vacuum bags as she is?! ;)

Vacuum bags work great. Not only decreases size of clothing but keep the clothing fresh.
Height of bed frames are a factor in storing stuff under the bed. Lately I've been looking at Captains beds (looking for drawer all around the sides and end of bed).

A client gifted and helped me set up that IKEA table. It's the perfect length to go alongside my couch and the 6 drawers will come in handy. When the leaves come out it's not super sturdy, so no table dances. Thanks again, nmo for the recommendation!

Vanperb, thanks for the link. I've only watched the first video. She is the perfect person to be narrating the tutorial of major house-overhaul; so zen and peaceful. How can I hire her for moral support??
