Sorry to hear it. I see 15.1 was released this morning per Macrumours.

I’ve chosen not to update anything from Apple because of the issues that come with the new OS. Too many times Mac OS and IOS have caused me too much grief. I’ll only update my iPhone when an important App stops working unless I update.

Being a man that stares danger in the eye , I installed it after reading this post to see what would happen. The end result ? Everything works. Everything looks and feels great.
Me being a man who wants a working phone, have android with apps that work back about 5 or so versions ago.

For any major software update, there always is a slight possibility things won’t go smoothly for a small percentage of users. Your case it’s seems like a really wide spread issue. **Backup your data**
Reinstall iOS is your best bet. Then restore data from iCloud or your local backup.

For example, my personal experience after iOS 15 update. Firefox crashes randomly and YouTube sometimes won’t load. Reinstalled the 2 problem apps. Problem solved.
I luckily didn’t have to go through the full reinstall route.

I don't see why ppl rush to install the "latest and greatest" update, iOs or Android. Your phone was working fine before the update so don't see the rush. There's always bugs that need to be worked out for the first little while. I always wait a bit before installing any major update.

hahahah, oh VPN. I probably wouldn’t have guessed that very easily without the item in hand.
