I read about this topic somewhere online...forget where, but it definitely got my interest. Dogging is a term that originated in the UK that refers to acts of public sex. Being a bit ofan exhibitionist this really appealed to me.
Apparently, there are groups of "doggers" who setup meetings in areas like parks (or just show up at known dogging locales) and get it on for the hell of it. Some people know one another, but others are complete strangers. This practise started in the UK and caught on in Europe, Australia, NZ, but not so much (yet) in North America. There are lots of websites from the UK that document doggers exploits by way of posted photos. Very interesting stuff...
Most doggers are apparently heterosexual in the UK (in North America it is more common for gays to engage in public sex...Stanley Park and Central Park here have lots of this...not sure why it is the exclusive domain of gays here seemingly...NOT that I'm criticizing them).
The UK also gave rise to "toothing" (strangers randomly hooking up via bluetooth enabled PDA's in public places) which puts the lie to the stereotype of the sexually repressed Brit!
My thought: Why isn't this a huge phenomenon here, to? It SHOULD be.
Anyone who's familiar with dogging: I'd be interested to hear your experiences here (there must be some perberts who have travelled or are ex-pats from the UK who have relevant experience)....am I just nuts or is this a trend we North Americans should adopt? Despite the obvious pitfalls..."dogging" could be the next big "hobby" here.
Any sp's think they would be willing to specialize in this type of thing, too? Let's hear from you.
