it is a name dear to me and anyone claiming that I care about the one complaining about my use of this name is full of self. I didint do my real name so I choose one that is known to me and that is all it is.

if it is that big a deal I can change it but dont know how to do that. I certainly want no mix up with the one who is saying those things.

Here's the problem, you ignored communications in PM and in public. Plus you refuse to tell us who you are. You really expect us to believe you chose the name out of sentimental reasons? Sorry babe, but timing is everything and one can only assume it was designed to confuse anyone reading the board. Professional courtesy is a trait you need to develop and quickly, I might add.

We all have options. Hopefully, no one's holding a gun to your head and forcing you to stay in this occupation. All that is quoted above is reason for you to get out of the business. The lack of money isn't what's keeping you from being happy, it's this industry and staying in it will make you even more bitter and miserable than you are now. If you want to get out of the business, take and work as many jobs as you can, outside of the sex industry, to make the money to support the lifestyle you want.

It's not your fault. It's administrations fault (if only they'd own up to it) for not having barred the handle from future use. Contact Fred Zed or Sheik via PM to request a change in your handle. And while you are at it, request that the handle Stephanie be banned, permanently.
Once that's done, please avoid the use of the name Stephanie in future posts as I do not want to be confused for someone else. From the looks of your posts, you don't use that name to work with, and I don't care if you do, just avoid posting with it.

Well, one of the rules :

7. No personal information, or links to personal information, shall be posted, even if it is 'commonly known.' Threatening to divulge personal information and/or personal threats (even veiled threats) will result in posting privileges being revoked WITHOUT WARNING and, in extreme cases, the possibility of contacting the user's ISP or law enforcement.

At the very least you think they should be offering an apology and doing a quick clean up on aisle 7. And if he really did drop the ball on her real name, that's one instance where the posts that mention it should be deleted.

You sound like you don't like what you do, and sometimes you probably even hate it, and it really weighs down on you. Money is means to something, not a goal. It's not worth the mental anguish being in this business seems to be causing you.

There seems to be the right and the wrong way to be a companion and interpret the interactions that happen. One and the same encounter can be seen in completely different lights. You may choose to view your client as a loser who "paws at you" and uses you, or you may choose to see a lonely man in need of some warmth and understanding.
And you will attract what you see so this becomes a self-reinforcing loop.

For your own mental sake, it's better if you either make adjustments - or set some reasonable goals and get out as soon as you can - or better, combine the two.

A request to change a previously used handle to avoid confusion as exhibited here, from a PERB posting member:

Now imagine a lurker or member not familiar with my CLM handle and doing a search on the name Stephanie. You do the potential lost revenue math.

As has been pointed out by others, it wasn't me. I feel bad for you that your real name is out there. Alas, there isn't anything I can do to fix that. I have seen Laiya once. I was apparently the first non-regular visitor at her new place after her problems with a stalker. Laiya was (and I am sure still is) an awesome lady and escort. here's some unsolicitated suggestions for Moderating Success and it would be in your best interest to from what I've read.
1) Erase all threads with the handle "Stephanie" as it's a recycled handle for the very reason I've stated earlier in this thread.
2) Ban the handle the "Stephanie" for the very reason I have stated earlier in this thread as well for Catherine's sake as you've pulled the biggest of all mistakes and posted her real name.
3) Avoid allowing members go on ad nauseum about moderating powers on this board without at least posting a reply (OBTn)
4) Lead by example by following the very guidelines you've helped create and enforce (ie. #7 posting of personal information)
5) Avoid random suspensions if you aren't willing to fully enforce it at ALL TIMES. (ie. OBTn who claims to moderate PERB)
6) For future business from us PAID ADVERTISERS, please us grant us the courtesy of substantial notice that in the event of posting real names that you will also be posting surnames.
7) Post the DNR List as a sticky.
8) Admit you've made a mistake instead of denying it or put an administrative spin on the issue. Learn from your mistake and continue to do your work with the new knowledge. Admitting you made a mistake doesn't make you weak, it shows you are overworked and human.

It's difficult for me not to take this personally as I've respectfully requested to Fred as well as other Super Moderators to have the handle changed. In confidence I was told that this handle would not be changed as it was a "common name" and not that it was a handle that was forgetfully barred from future use. I've already received combative comments via email about statements posted by "Stephanie"/Catherine. And not even you, Sheik, can deny the hateful, disparaging posts authored by them ("Stephanie"/Catherine).

It's just an idea.
I respect your original determination to make PERB a more honourable and user friendly forum however allowing the, in the immortal words of TTT, SHIT SHOWS to continue will have more and more current members jumping ship.

This is handled differently for a few reasons:

1. this is not a similar to name, this is exactly the same as CLM's former handle

2. Coco is most certainly not a bitter shrew who hates her work (and fake Steph is not shy about letting it be known that she is), that kind of attitude hurts business. The real Stephanie wants no part of that fallout.

3. Coco was co-operative with the ladies who had issues, not combative.

As far as why Sheik hasn't stepped up and done something, I'm guessing it's a lack of moderation here, one glance at the advertiser's thread makes it obvious. That being said, it's fake Steph/Catherine's own fault that it is now known that it is supposedly her real name, she outted herself, well done!
