It is obviously in the best interest of the board to disallow any handle that may cause confusion to members and anxiety to providers. Particularily a handle that was once used by a well known and advertising sp.

There are many sp's with the same name which is confusing enough to some people. That, we can do little about.

At times when we can do something, why wouldn't we?

Just a thought, recycling CLM's old handle to someone who is bitter and not shy about getting her bad attitude out there is a problem....for CLM. Picture this, Joe Client met a gal and fell in love three years ago, so he stops pooning and therefore stops looking at the board. They broke up last weekend so he decides to check on perb to see if his former ATF, Stephanie is still around. He does an advanced search, for all posts made by 'Stephanie'. At a glance, without reading the entire thread, he would no doubt take a pass on seeing her again. You could say he should notice something amiss because of the recent join date, but the reality is when a guy starts thinking with his little head, he may not be all that detail focused.

Letting someone have the Stephanie handle, in particular someone who clearly has contempt for pooners, holds the very real possibility of causing CLM lost income. You banned sheikyerbooti for not changing his handle because you felt it was too similar to yours. This person is using the exact same name, and regardless of whether or not it makes CLM lose bookings, it is obviously causing her anguish. I feel that alone is reason enough to nuke the Stephanie handle.

it is a name dear to me and anyone claiming that I care about the one complaining about my use of this name is full of self. I didint do my real name so I choose one that is known to me and that is all it is.

Okay, if your serious about changing your name you simply pm Shiek or the Moderator handle and ask. I'm sure given the amount of controversy your appearance has caused you will have no problem. May I suggest that you choose a handle that you can really embrace as your own?
While your are disgusted with some of the banter on the review boards keep in mind that men are mainly discussing women. Some are not as polite as others, but that is a reflection of the real world. Everyone is different. If you are unhappy with your life please try and do something to change it for the better, but taking out your frustrations and bitterness on the members of the board is only going to encourage backlash and anger towards you.
My understanding of backstabbing is that it is something done without the victims knowledge......any posts on this board that you consider backstabbing would not fall into that category as it is open to all to read.

Okay I see we have a little problem with understanding handle change requests and what happens to old handles.

I can name at least one SP where she changed her handle. That old handle of hers was barred from future applications and use.

There are a few Stephanie's in the community and I have no problem with it. I do not hold a patent to that name, though it is on my birth certificate. I have an issue with a recycled handle where the one holding the handle ignored all posts and PMs regarding it which leads me to believe it to be used for the sole purpose to throw attention away from "The Real McCoy". Notice how "Stephanie" hasn't stepped forward until now to say that the reason why they picked the name was for to not have to resort to using their real name, whether a working name or otherwise. I've received hate emails since the handle cropped up. That handle was chosen for one specific reason.

Taking your post at face value for the moment...

You jumped into the middle of a disagreement that goes back a long way and has to do with the way things like an escorts desire to have a low profile are handled by the board administration ... not your right to have a low profile.

Jumping and firing broadsides was not the best way to keep a low profile and be careful about your personal life. It just brings attention, usually of an unwanted kind, to yourself.

For your own peace of mind, comfort, sanity and to preserve your personal life ... stay off the boards. Ask to be put on a no review list if they have them, but otherwise, don't read them, don't post on them, don't talk about them. Some people can deal with the boards, but a lot of people can't. There is nothing wrong with that. Even 'old hands' take a break once in a while. But you will not change the boards, or the people on them, nor the things discussed and said. And if you try it will just eat you up from the inside.

So go, ignore the boards, do your job as best you can and live your life as best you are able.

Steph I am trying to understand you but what are you talking about? If that is your real name luv-em certainly didn't reveal it.........if you check earlier posts you'll see that Sheik himself dropped that name........You really should settle down a little. I may not agree with luv-em all the time but he always seems to be a voice of reason and always seems to have something intelligent to add.
