For me, a well-known SP who has good service, is a no-go as she is refusing to get vaxxed.

There must be other SP's who won't get the vaccine, and I'm positive there are some pooners who are unvaxxed.

So, do any of you ask your potential partners - SP's or pooners - if they're vaxxed? Does it matter to you if you've had both shots?

Are any of you still on the sidelines?

I ask every gentleman I book . Men have been really cool with showing their card & ive shown my vaccination card when they arrive , it does matter to me. Says a lot of about someone who cares for themselves & others .

I haven’t asked yet but might. Wish more ladies would advertise their status. I’d like to know why the damn BC QR code shows the bearer’s name but no photo thus requiring a secondary ID for verification. Like why TF doesn’t it just show your face and status and no name!? I personally would be happy to share my name and status with an SP who would like to see it but I’d also like to see her vax status—of course I wouldn’t expect or want to see her real name and DL though. That anybody and everybody accessing restaurants or cinemas has to share their name with countless strangers seems unnecessary, absurd and potentially dangerous. I’m for the passports but ….

If some SP's are asking clients anyways, it would really help if they put that in the ads. I'm trying to stay safe and personally looking for someone who is vaccinated and only sees those who are. I sometimes search keywords like "vaccine", "passport" etc. but very few advertise this.

In this political climate I'm not really comfortable asking strangers about vaccination status and potentially stepping on a landmine. So I'm focusing on ads that alude to vaccination or COVID awareness. I'm sure there are others like me.

I agree. It’s kind of scary to ask, knowing how angry and upset people can get over such a little thing. Before the passport I was taking clients temperatures and a few were offended and a few actually left.. It’s dangerous enough out there… and now this is one more thing.

Yeah it’s a touchy subject. I can imagine a few reasons some providers might not want to declare their vax status—not wanting to solicit harassment, abusive/time wasting “inquiries” etc. I personally don’t want to sour the mood by asking, but prefer the peace of mind from knowing. I greatly appreciate ladies who advertise that they are vaccinated and those who only see vaccinated clientele get bonus point$.

I don't see how asking could hurt. This is another of layer of safety, and nobody should be upset by the question. If they are, it's simply another way to decide if you want to see that person. Of course, people could always lie, but that's another risk to be determined, and any Sp contracting Covid would be out of commission for long time, and lose a lot of income.

I am vaccinated, but not currently having fun in the hobby due to my busy work schedule. But would I ask? Sure I would, especially if it's somebody I have not seen before.

For the record, I am good with vaccine passports.

The implementation though is really not desirable. The q-code and statement "Vaccinated" is good. The fact the name and a need to show picture ID is not good and is effectively allowing the viewer to see private details. As in full name, address, DL number, Passport number etc. Frankly that is a privacy issue that I am just not 100% comfortable with. yeah, we give our privacy away all the time but .....

What would be better would be the same q-code and a picture. The q-code links via an app to the great database in the sky that says, Yup that guy is vaccinated, comes back with the same picture.

As the whole vaccine card thing was rolling out, I read somewhere that a BC Services Card app would be the gateway for this program so I got the app. Unimpressive to say the least but this links my BC health # to my picture. The vaccines are part of our health services to why not link that q-code to the BC Services thing. Have the same vaxx passport with your picture.

Anyway back to the original question, yeah I would show my passport if I really wanted to see that provider. It's about risk management in the end (not going to itemize all the statistical issues of the virus being present as that has been done elsewhere).

I second this!

Just because your vaccinated doesn't mean you can't get it or spread it. The percentage of the daily positive cases of double vaccinated people are in the 30% range.
How many ask to see test results for other viruses other than covid?

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy

Please be careful about stating a stat like 30% of daily positives are doubly vaccinated. Just not a true statement.
Breakthrough positive testing is a very small percentage and that depends on a range of factors including age, overall health, and the general immuno response of the individual to the vaccine.
Ontario Health published a brief mid October indicating that from 1.1 to 2.8 % of daily cases (region, age specific) were breakthrough cases.
The breakthrough cases though showed < 20% actually got covid and a much smaller %age were hospitalized.
But YES, being fully vaccinated does not prevent one from still getting covid - the statistics are such that any person with critical thinking ability should get vaccinated.

I don’t ask I don’t have it and all the girls I have seen don’t care. So say they have it just to get the customer. And clearly don’t

The 30% comes right from the bc government daily announcements its not something I made up.

Yes, mea culpa, you are correct. I just googled for latest numbers for BC.
Somehow my gut says that is just wrong but it is likely out of context as it carries no demographic with it ie elderly, immuno compromised and so on.
Current numbers I have are that about 33 of 100,000 of doubly vaccinated people are seeing breakthrough infection which is a pretty small statistic.
Mind you if you get it, its 100%. That's the thing with stats.
