Yes, you can. In I-tunes. Select the file you want to copy, right click, click on copy, and then paste the file where you want to copy it to. I've never tried it before, but your question got me curious. If you move the file from where you originally copied it to, it gives a message saying that the file couldn't be found, but it still plays in I-tunes.

Thanks so much moose_31 I will give it a try ....I am kinda scared as I was told that I could lose the songs forever if I screwed up ...There was an ipod mix up and my sons music/songs he did 4yrs ago are on there and I would hate to lose them....

There's also a program called iDump that will snag them from your ipod and save them on your PC.

If neither of those ideas work, let me know, ive done it before, there are different ways to do it depending on if youre using a mac or windows and what versions.

Thank you Mikeyyy for the offer...I used the program idump and was able to transfere my songs over with success and it was pretty easy to ...lol...Thank you Mr.Boggo again for the suggestion ...

Sweet, I'm glad it worked. I use Idump and update it every few months if I ad a bunch of new songs.

Oh crud, I totally forgot you had to pay for it. If I'd remembered, I would have advised you on how to unlock it for free...not that I'd recommend anyone unlocking a program for free, it's more just for informational purposes.
