New Season of DOCTOR WHO hits SPACE Saturday, April 23, 8E/P

This just in! The new Season of DOCTOR WHO will be coming to SPACE SATURDAY APRIL 23 at 8E/P. We're thrilled to be airing a new season of heart-pounding adventures, with Matt Smith as 11th Timelord and Karen Gillan as his feisty partner-in-time, Amy Pond.

In the 2-part season premiere, The Doctor, Amy and Rory travel to 1960s America, taking them from the Utah desert to the Oval office. The season was filmed in North America for the first time in series history. Alex Kingston (ER) reprises her role as River Song, while Mark Sheppard (SUPERNATURAL) guest stars as Canton.

If you need to catch up on Season 5, and if you want to relive the golden specials, fear not! SPACE is airing a thrilling DOCTOR WHO marathon: Beginning Thursday, April 21 at 9 a.m. E/P, SPACE transports viewers to a TARDIS manned by Tenth Time Lord with the 4 final DOCTOR WHO specials, starring David Tennant. Then SPACE reboots Season 5 leading up to the Season 6 premiere on April 23, followed by the Christmas specials, Sunday, April 24 starting at 12:05 a.m. ET.

She's very cute and I really liked her performance in that Season 7 first episode. But Amy Pond was AWESOME!

I checked yesterday and I do believe it will be at The Metropolis in Burnaby See you there! (except that we won't actually know each other -- we'll just know that the other is there in spirit )

For those of us in the Vancouver area, the only theatre showing it on Saturday is the Cineplex Odeon International Village Cinemas (what used to be the Tinseltown). It's an 11:50 AM showtime and looks like it's already sold out. I believe that makes the showtime simultaneous with TV showings on BBC and SPACE.

If you want to see it in 3D on the big screen and you can wait a couple extra days to see it, there are 7:30 PM and 9:45 PM shows on Monday the 25th at a number of theatres.

So, for those who watched it, how AWESOME was The Day of the Doctor?! Personally, I LOVED it! Now, I'm just considering whether I want to watch it again in 3D in a theater on Monday night.

The doctors seemed to have forgotten that in one of the previous episodes the entire story was about the home planet coming out of it's dimensional pocket, so they obviously already knew that it had not been destroyed.

when was that.... back with Tom .Baker... i remember back then there were a number of episods . set on Galifrie I dont remember much said .. in this last run of the Doctor other then it was destroied

Of course i am not a Who fanatic.. i just like good SF

As for this 50th.. show.. it was good.. some real great performances. I'm John Hurt and Piper

and great to see the two Doctors interact.

But they could of done so much more...
