I blame the Canucks for Lou flopping and bad play. He use to play out more but since he got bumped a lot in the playoffs the 2 years before they ask him to change his style and play in the crease more. The NHL said it was ok to bump him because he was out of the crease. I would still keep both goalies as one can get hot or struggle at times. As long as we have one hot going into the playoffs , we are ok.

Maybe Shneider showing him up so much will motivate Lou to play harder.. maybe not. I think part of the problem is that Lou has this solid high paying long contract so he doesn't feel like he needs to perform or prove himself, cause he stays and gets paid no matter what! Silly contract.
I was just going to say that V :D

I get the feeling Lou is a competitive guy and riding the pine will put a sour taste in his mouth which "hopefully" will motivate him again to get a long win streak going again.

IMHO he has never been the same again since winning the Gold Medal for Canada. It was really the team that stepped up in the playoffs and Lou was solid by NOT outstanding as any $10M player should be every night. The final game against the Bruins must have stung him badly 4 doughnut in front of Vancouver fans. Piss poor showing all around.

In the mean time Canucks ought to ride Schneids as long as they can to get way above 500 before the end of January.

On that Turris guy. Who really wants a kid that wouldn't play or sign a new contract? He must be getting really poor advise which may make him unattractive to other GM's who may have been interested.
