A buddy of mine wants to buy his SO one of those Max turbo high performance slimming belt. They have them at the PNE for $250. (regular price $400.) Has anyone here tried them? They are a vibrating belt which claims to help you trim off some fat. I looked them up on Google and here's what they look like:

Distributor is in Hong Kong:

Nothing says I love you like "you're fat honey so I bought you a piece of shit from the fair".

Have you friend buy his SO a few less cheese cakes and use the $250 on one of the local ladies.

Thanks for all your input gang. The concensus, as I had initially thought, appears to be these things are a pos.

I'm probably in my house.
A good exercise for the abs, aka, the "gut", is a kind of quasi-military type yoga thing, known as the "cobra" or the "Lance Armstrong" (apparently Lance hates sit-ups).
This is a very relaxing exercise and it works quickly.

Of course, you can lead the horse to water...
