Hello Perbites and Perberts,
I wanted to share something on discretion that has been bothering me and appears to be endemic to individuals who subscribe to different socio cultural norms when it comes to this hobby.
On two occasions, I was at one of my favourite massage parlours on Kingsway over the weekend that happens to have access to a parking lot rather than neighbourhood or street parking.
In both instances, I was there for a potential morning visit and in both instances, the lot was virtually empty.
In the first situation, a gentleman in a black puffer jacket was sitting by the curb. I'm not sure if it was his first go or if he was just a weirdo but before entering, he did a once around the lot and stops in front of my car and looks me right in the face.
In the second situation, this morning, again, same empty lot. Two individuals pull up. They have access to any spot they want but choose to park right beside me.
Maybe it's just a personal opinion, but the last time I checked, discretion was still the name of the game when it comes to this hobby. While not illegal, accepance of this hobby remains divided in support. A bunch of pooners clustering together only serves to attract unneccessary attention which can potentially attract folks who are likely to complain. This makes it harder for the ladies to work in peace and just sucks the fun out of it for everyone.
Long winded soliloquay aside here's the TL/DR:
- When partaking, be discreet. Don't draw attention to yourself because you potentially draw attention to others who may not want it.
- Coming in groups of 5 or 6 is just as bad. Don't loiter. The lady you want will still be there. She's just busy with someone else right now.
- Unless the other pooner is your friend who you have met prior and agreed to meet, don't approach another suspected pooner. We don't all have the same communal attitude to this hobby and place varying levels of importance on discretion. For my part, the perceived brotherhood of this hobby that some subscribe to doesn't extend beyond this site. I don't make friends outside, nor do I want to.
- Unless there is absolutely no other option, don't park beside another suspected pooner. The further the better.
- Last but not least, don't try to speak to a lady coming or going from her shift. What happens inside, stays inside. You pay her money, she provides a service. Unless she says otherwise, she is not your friend.
There I've said my piece. Hopefully this lands where it needs to. 😂
