Recommendations please. Cheater or pooner communications. I have an iphone and pay for an app called Line2, its ok, 12 bucks a month, operates off of my personal cel phone, but when the app is activated, it does give me a second phone number to text and talk with. It does give me a separate 204 number. I assume pay as you go, old, flip phones are what most guys use? 7-11 or superstore? Just want some ideas on your successful methods of keeping your personal phone private. Thank you.

There are a few apps you can download for free, such as TextMe, TextNow, and WhatsApp. A lot of touring SPs use them I have noticed. Some offer unlimited calls and texting but you have to purchase credits, or earn them by watching app commercials. Not always reliable though. Sometimes calls are cut-off, or don't even go through.

For a real second phone i like SpeakOut from 7-11. You can buy a second phone from 7-11 or just throw the SIM into one of your old phones. The best part is any credit you buy is good for a year. Also, they usually have a promotion where you get an extra $25 if you purchase $100. In fact that promotion is going on right now until January 3rd.

As FOAD said, get your old phone loaded with the SpeakOut SIM card, or wait til 7-11 puts phones on sale and pick it up cheap. Set up your account and then select the unlimited texting for $10 a month. I hardly ever use voice calling anyway.. cheapest thing I've found and pretty good service as they use the Rogers network.

I've used a SpeakOut from 7-11 for years. It's a flip phone, so it's a bit of a pain in the ass for texting, but it's untraceable.

I picked mine up in Wal Mart. Keep in mind you will need an email and fake name to activate. Make sure to record your name if you ever have to contact the provider they will ask some questions to make sure you are the account owner. And pay for the phone and gift card / contract with cash. I went for the unlimited text only but added talk minutes later. Any shell gas station can sell you minutes for Roger's.
