Did I blow my cover ?

Do you ever do something stupid?
I did today - and need you to tell me if my cover is blown. For most of us here, discretion is the key. I’m worried I blew my cover...

The background: a few weeks back my boys from back east hooked my up with What’s App. Never used it before. It’s been fun to chat with the guys - about a dozen total - scattered across North America - about sports, politics, woman, etc. Pretty cool group chat.

Today I was on a local agency website and for ‘contact us’ they have the usual phone/text/ email, but also What’sApp,
So thinking I am now hip, I fire them a note through the app inquiring about someone they had on their schedule as working today .
I get a response back saying ‘oh sorry, she’s actually not working today’
I reply ‘hey no worries. Maybe I will try again tomorrow’ (she’s on the schedule)
They reply ‘she’s actually not working tomorrow either or the rest of this week. And we really not sure about next week’

At this point I had my ‘oh shit’ moment and realized that via the app they had my real name
Did they google me and decide that they didn’t want to see me ? Too fat? Too ugly? Too old?
Those thoughts legitimately crossed my mind because the interaction seemed so weird.

Now that I have blown my cover and this agency has my real name, should I be worried ?

I think they base their decision on the IQ a client displays during communication.
Anybody with an IQ lower than normal room temperature is probably not acceptable to them,
and if the IQ matches their shoe size - no hope in he*l.

When did you realize that they would have your real name ???

Go to whatsapp setting and change your name to your initials and upload a generic picture for your profile.

Maybe, they were straight up and the lady wasn't working. Either way, cant be worse than my experience with tech...one time i was texting an escort and my female neighbour at the same time, and through the barrage of emails, i mistakenly asked the neighbour for rates and location....?. Never heard from neighbour again..?‍♂

My post was more about ‘should I be concerned that my name & picture are now ‘out there’?
I supposed I need to trust the agency to be discreet. And @scubasamm had some good advice ....

if you're contacting reputable agencies and providers, you'll be fine. I personally require proof of ID for meetings and I've NEVER used that information for anything besides making sure dude doesn't have some kind of sexual criminal history, etc.

I'd never run an agency, too much stress! IMO, getting reliable SPs in the agency realm to show up for all their shifts is often the equivalent to herding cats. So there is a great chance she really isn't working,.

I have no idea what agency or lady you're referring to, but over the years I've seen this sort of thing happen where with certain agencies will only book them for same day short notice appointments.

Not entirely a bad thing. Some give incredible service when they show up to shifts, but back to the herding cats analogy... you can have a fabulous cat but it does what it wants when it wants.

I think part of the problem is because men are so visual themselves, many of them just assume our minds and arousal process works in the same way as theirs.

yeah. when in reality 99% of my bad experiences have been with hot white dudes, so when one walks through the door, I generally feel more trepidation and know I have my work cut out for me.

Everyone should be weary about social apps. Whatsapps, Facebook, Twitter. Mostly they collect infomation about you and direct advertizement at you (which nobody wants). Netflix has a great doc on this. called Social Media....
When getting whatapps it asks for access to your photos, address book, phone numbers and there is no way you can choose which ones it has access to, it takes all of them. And that is scary....
