If the Canucks beat Chicago and advance, do we have a better chance against Anaheim or Detroit?

Anaheim has skill and are very physical.

Detroit has world class skill but an average goaltender. And Detroit is Detroit. Last years Cup winner

I would rather play Anaheim, but we will play Detroit.

Anaheim take lots and lots of penalties.
That is a very bad thing to do against the redwings.

Powerplay...Detroit, best in the league.
Penalties per game.....Anaheim, second most in the league.

Vancouver gives up way too many power plays too, which could sting against the Wings, but at least are PK is somewhat better than the Ducks.

I knew the Ducks' rough play would get them tonight. Staying out of the box is a big miracle for these guys. It will be a epic battle next round when the wings come here.

I think we've got a better chance against Anaheim for sure. Mind you, I'm betting that we'll be facing Detroit in the next round (yes, I'm predicting that we'll knock out Chicago), and I'm also betting that Detroit will be the end of the road for us. If we manage to get past Chicago and Detroit I'll be both amazed and deliriously happy.

The Ducks have been outshot by a lot in all their playoff games this year, pretty soon the rookie Goalie is going to wear out mentally.

Its a given its going to be the Wings vs the Nucks. Chicago is too young to overcome game 1st big setback and Luongo is simply God this year.

Not that I even want to think that far ahead but I'd prefer to face the ducks...we'd get home ice. If not for that fact, I'd like to see how we do against Detroit. I know our history hasn't fared well with them but this is a different Vancouver team than previous years. We're physical and move the puck as well as the wings. It'd be a good match up of skill hockey. With the ducks, it'd be WWIII.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Detroit. Here's the reasoning behind it. That series will go to 7 games and those two teams will literally beat the ever living fuck out of one another. After 7 games and all the injuries associated with them for both teams I think we'd do much better against Detroit than Anaheim. We'll be well rested after finishing Chicago in 5 or 6.

I would have agreed with you a couple of years ago, but a lot of the elite, old guard is gone now.

If they play like they did tonight for the rest of the series, the question will be, "Callaway or Taylormade"?

That little guy Patrick Kane is something else. Seen a pic of him in street clothes and he looks like he should hit the buffet table many times but the guys can keep his head playing in the NHL. miracle.
