i think i will be buying a hair screen today!
i should qualify my suggestion... they sell a special formulation of drano called
max gel and also
dual force foamer especially for use with copper plumbing, but you should read the label carefully, or if you're buying it at a hardware store ask somebody knowledgeable for help

the old powder drano with the chunks of metal in it is the stuff that corrodes copper and brass. i've seen drano corroded copper pipes that you could literally crush with your fingers
btw, the hairscreens do get kinda yukky with hair and used soap, so it's best to clean the screen after every shower so you know your cleaning your own hair and used soap, and your not leaving a mess for clients to look at and write about in their reviews
you can put the screen away for clients cuz their hair is likely quite short, and they might not even be washing their hair anyway
also some hair screens have a raised section that fits over the tub plug if you have a raised plug (i think those ones are a coupla bucks extra, lol)
