Death - Is that it or is there an "After Life?"

There is an answer and it comes from Physics

You and I are made of atoms. Namely Carbon, Oxygen & a few other important ones

Each cell has hundreds of millions of moving parts, you are made of a trillion+ cells

If u were to somehow flash freeze every cell in your body and repair whatever damage has occurred to them, while still retaining whatever information it was set to relay, then we could essentially immortalize

immortality is possible, it's just not practical

If immortality is possible it stands against the fundamental assertions and principles of most mainstream religions on earth

From these possibilities and outcomes you can derive a conclusion regarding the likelihood of gods existence
Well, when you actually have made that billion maybe I will grant you more respect. Your quasi philosophical rants are boring though.

They are boring because they are direct and deal with the reality we are able to observe and derive conclusions from

My statements and conclusions do not delve into the realm of the soul and it does not factor human genetics or human emotionality. Such genetically or emotionally related factors serve no effective purpose other than to obfuscate.

And don't worry about the billion .. I'm working on it. I have a few ideas. Both in tech .. Both so fucking crazy they just might work .. Even if I did get the billion there is a (small) chance I won't share the news. Should have a prototype built within the next 1.5-2 years ..

I find it odd that you appeal to authority in what you choose to believe regarding personal philosophy. Surely it would be better if you used your own mind in making judgements about a particular philosophy

If there is an afterlife, what if the first question you're asked when you arrive is, " so how was heaven?"

Interesting thought. I personally think that there is somewhere that our spiritual energy goes. While I am not an overly spiritual person, I feel that as humans we do possess a certain spiritual energy. Ever notice that the mere presence of some others can make you feel great or bring you down. I think that when we pass, our energy goes to another place to exist. Somewhere many refer to heaven although I don't think heaven exists as a physical space.
That is why we hear so many stories of people having out of body experiences or encountering spirits (energy), good or bad, that are for some reason, still present on this earth. That may explain why people throughout the ages have reported seeing or being visited by angels or other entities for "the other side."
As to our loved ones, I don't think their spirit takes on only one form. I think we will see them as we remember them and they will see themselves as they wish. My grandparents might see my Dad as a 40 year old man and he would see them as in their 70's when they died. Or he may see them as vibrant 30 year olds as they were wehn he was ayoung lad. They might see me as the 6 year old boy they remember while my grandkids may see me as a 80 year old man (if I make it that far, LOL!).
I must admit my biggest fear is after I die, not having any connection to my daughter (and grandkids, God willing) for the rest of eternity. :(
Well jethro.
I understand what emotionally you feeling. Loss of friends and contemporaries feet is your turn is near.
Well I think we all arrived in this world. With predetermined path which I do not we can change much but by our afford we can modify it. I have experienced that in life.

I believe in Jain religion philosophy of Karma good karma will bring you good thing in life and after life. While bad will bring bad in life. It easy to accumulate bad karma but hard to accumulate good karma. So life and after life is all dependent on what life you leave!

For your fear of losing contact with daughter or granddaughter
Spend very constructive time with them love and care for them be around those things will leave your legacy with them your memories will with them always.
That how i deal in my life.
We both in Winnipeg may have coffee some day

I have always felt that there is an afterlife of some sorts but I've never defined it, just an abstract thought. I do remember watching the movie "Ghost" when the guy that murdered Patrick Swayze dies and these inky black apparitions crawl out of the ground and drag him back into the earth. My thoughts were, " I hope I haven't done anything in my life that was bad enough to have that happen to me....that was terrifying!"

No such thing as death. You are not the body. You are pure awareness, pure consciousness. (shiva) I've died five times....my body failed (meatsuit) my original awareness remained. We are neurally hardwired to believe we are "separate"......so it takes a lot of discipline and a prolonged meditation practice to realize the Ultimate Reality. Tibetan Buddhism is one of the best sources to research this topic. They refer to mind training, buddha nature, bardo, rigpa, dzogchen, mahamudra. It's all on google. The main thing that must happen is the awakening of dormant energy at base of spine (kundalini). This is imperative. Without the awakening you remain in primal ignorance. Rama Choudry has a few videos about this topic on You Tube. May all beings be happy. Merry Christmas to you all.

Your pure consciousness and awareness is a combination of neurons firing in very specific ways. Ways which allow for the fulfilling of innately human objectives such as survival and reproduction as well as others

When the neuronal cells stop being fed, all activities cease. Motion within the cell itself ceases. Your experiences related to your spine does not explain your first statement of there not being death or you stating there to be a reality felt separately from what likely is

Another issue in research is dealing with the gatekeepers. In order to get published one has to follow the status quo. Don't throw rocks, etc.
There is likely a whole other world out there of very interesting but unpublished research...
Western culture is based on Christianity, which has brainwashed its people for approx 2000 years. Eastern religions too, but they have a re-incarnation theme in some of them.

Our Modern science is based on trial and error or come up with a thesis and develop an proof that it exists. Throwing rocks is the only way to break the status quo. Our society problem is that we are comfortable with how things are, and we don't want to rock the boat. In Western society we are posed not to think about or deal with death, our own or our family members (older ones). Out of sight, out of mind... then your health begins to fail. Now you have to have a response to your failing health...

There are probally alot of things that are not published to keep them secret from the public. If some one found a way to be immortal, would you share it, or let others know? I don't think so.

Science is a wonderful field....but has some catching up to do.
