Dealership Car selling scams

AS Ms Monet wanted advice on a used car, eventually the subject touched apon maintenance.

I remember watching some W5 online shows, where one segment was on car dealerships and some of the things they did to sell cars.

One of the things found there was that some dealerships advertise the base model, but had no base model on hand. Usually said there was a 3 to 6 months wait. But they could sell you the next model up which they did have.... (this one was about the Vancouver Area)

All I could find was one from Calgary.

As with any purchase, be it a new car or sex from an SP, if it's not as advertised, then don't buy it. If you're looking for something in particular, then phone around until you find it. If it turns out you've been lied to once you show up in person, then turn around and walk away.
Don't know what maintenance has to do with this topic.

Lol.... reminds me of last year when I was car shopping.

In a Mazda dealership, I was looking at a base model car that was the only one there. It was black with no ac.

I asked them how they planned to sell that. The salesperson just rolled her eyes and sighed......poor kid!!!!

I told her if she gave me a great deal that I'd buy it and take it to Yellowknife to sell!!!!9
