I know this has been asked in the past but thought someone might have found a day room at a reasonable rate. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you open the phone book and ask around,..much quicker than waiting for a response from here, don't you think? And second of all, who, here. would know anything about hotel rates or your budget, or your taste. Be responsible and Do your own homework with most likely faster results.

Whoa, yeah - this question has been respectfully asked and answered several times before. What's the big deal?

Try the Westwood Village Inn (formerly the Red Lion Inn) on Portage Ave West. I used it a while ago and got a day rate. I remember that it was quite reasonable but I can't remember the price. It was nothing fancy but then again, I wasn't there for the decor. It was plain but clean.

I stupidly paid with a VISA but i found out later that they will take cash if you give them a deposit.

It has been more than a year since I was there but they might still offer a day rate. Give them a call and maybe tell us how the room/price was if you use it.

When it was the Red Lion, they had a day rate of about $35, but the last time I was there, it was the Westwood Village Inn, and they had no day rate. It cost me about $80.

The CanadInn at Polo Park has a day rate too but it is a higher class hotel and the day rate was more expensive, about $80 plus taxes. I am a professional photographer and was doing some erotic photography and needed a better place so I didn't mind the higher cost. I felt kinda awkward, tho, hauling all my gear, including lights, past the front desk and up the elevator. I got some strange looks from the front desk staff.

Thank you WpgTrucker, this is a good question and I'm glad that you asked it. It is information that we can share. I'm sorry that I can't help answer your question. There certainly is a need. Maybe somehow we need to act as a group to show there is a semi untapped market.
It latin america where young adults traditionally live with their parrent until they are married, these places are called ' love hotels' and are usually, but not always, along the lines of a motel. They are an accepted part of the hotel buisness. The rooms rent for 2 or 3 hours at a time and I am told that the lunch hour buisness is quite brisk.
Now that it is becomeing more common in our country for children to live with their parents longer , we also have a need here for such ' love hotels'. They seem like such a better idea than car sex at 23yrs of age. Such hotels could serve 2 markets at one time.( although one might want to be careful not to use the same love hotel as say;... your daughter and boy friend. lol....chicas

They have the same thing in Japan. They have separate entrances to each room and the staff serves people through little doors etc where you can't see people's faces. The rooms were more than just a bed, they had karaoke machines, pachinko (like gambling) machines, tatami area and were really big. A lot of younger people who live at home (or people in general) would have parties in the rooms. They were pretty neat, I tried to have a love hotel party but a lot of ppl couldn't get past the idea that it was a "love hotel." They even had vending machines for sex toys and condoms. :)

The Westwood doesn't have a day rate anymore but you can still pay with cash, no ID required

Doesn't the CanadInns have swipe cards to get to the hallways where the rooms are? I know the one on Pembina does. Very inconvenient when the girl has to call you from outside letting you know she is there just so you can let her past the prison door, I mean the hallway door. Sort of ruins the anticipation of the knock-on-the-door feeling.

They certainly do. I stayed there with a friend ;) a weekend ago. It's all of them not just the Pembina location. Plus for the price of their room's I think they are a complete rip off. Especially for the rate's and room's you can get in Brandon. Excellent Motel's there. WPGtrucker look at a cheap motel. I'm sure your not there for the decor.
I know yrs ago I rented out a room at the Cavalier. Price is roughly 60 for the night. So do what you want for a cheap rate and relax enjoy. I know before everyone jumps on it me, it actually isn't bad. All cash no keycard no CC or a deposit and easy access for the lady visiting you.
No one ever sit's at the front desk so no question's asked.

The Capri on Pembina is cheap so if you wanted to stay in a room for a day but not the night, no real loss. There might be a deposit or a visa needed but I don't think they need ID. The rooms have individual entrances (motel).

Aquarius on Notre Dame is by no means a motel; it is a gay men's bath house. They have co-ed days (Tuesday, Thursday and I believe Saturday) but if you and your lady friend are looking to hook up and do the dirty deed on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday, you're out of luck as she won't get in. They had a deadly fire in the fall of 2009. Since they re-opened last spring, they don't even have beds and mattresses in the rooms, just these strange vinyl covered padded platforms. And if they think this is a client/SP arrangement, they may decide to not let you in. Sinful Sydnee used to meet male friends there, and even hosted a few private group get-togethers there, but once they figured out what was going on, the management put a stop to it.

Lol. Ya', the Capri Motel is cheap in quality but not in price. This past summer, a "friend" suggested we go there and she said the same thing, that it was cheap. Friday night around midnight. Told the Chinese guy at the front desk I only wanted the room for a couple hours and he smiled, then charged me around $85 (for 2 beds) + a room deposit because I didn't bring my credit card. The beds are awful. We're doing some domination stuff and have to rearrange the furniture. Pick up the mattresses and they are as floppy and wobbiliy as chunks of Jello. Put the bed back together, girl hops on me doing cowgirl and the creaking was so bad I was afraid the bed was going to collapse. She then leans ahead while fucking me, grabs the blanket on either side on my head with her hands, trying to pull the blanket towards her to gain extra leverage to fuck harder, and as she's pressing harder and further into me, I can feel the springs in the mattress pertruding into my back. Never again at that place. Too costly, had to leave deposit or credit card, bad mattress, dirty floor, and after I left, I felt dirty and not in the good way.

I know there's a girl working out of the stock exchange motel (Logan and Arlington) forever, it must have a cheap daily rate. And there's that place just north of the perimeter on Main, or out Fermor past Lage... other than those, doesn't seem to be a lot of cheap motels around Winnipeg.

The Lincoln hotel on McPhillips charges a rate of 66.00 with taxes for a night. They do require ID and a $100 deposit though. Rooms are all right for what you're paying. Not sure about a day rate thoug.
