Dark skinned Asian?

Im Filipina🇵🇭with olive skin, though I look more Korean/Vietnamese😆according to fellow Filipinos😅
Dark skinned asian women are my kryptonite. Always makes me sad how having white skin is such a trend in most asian countries.
Truth be told🫣I was a victim of that growing up in the Philippines. My culture made me hate having a golden tan , because being white was considered being in the wealthy class aka mestiza (spanish term for being half white/half Asian) and being attractive to men. So in my tween years, appointments to dermatologist doesnt only mean getting help with tween pimples, it also meant getting bleaching treatments, bleaching soap & creams. I cant believe I did that to my self to conform to my Asian culture’s standard of beauty back then. And the bleaching process actually really hurts😢 It’s only when we immigrated to Canada that I allowed my natural golden tan back, because it was appreciated here😊and realizing that a lot of white people like getting a tan & that they think having a tan is beautiful😅

Every type of body lotion, cream and makeup's in Asia has bleaching agent in them even ones from known brands such as L'oreal...Estee Lauder etc. I guess going to the "cosmetic hospital" to bleach the skin is the extreme.
