Congratulations to Danica Patrick. The first ever woman to lead the Indy 500.
She led for a total of approximately 20 lap’s and finish fourth overall in the greatest spectacle of racing, driving for the David Letterman / Bobby Rahal team. Go figure – she’s a rookie to boot!

A great finish for her especially with the bump/collision around lap 160-170 that broke her nose wing(?).

The driver with the best car wins. Look at Schumaker he couldn't lose for 2 years and now he can't win very little of that has to do with his abilities.

Good on her, Danica proved she's a very capable driver at a level where she could earn millions and she also happens to be stunning.......Wow, what a catch!

"baby let me drive your car, and maybe I'll love you"

The car doesn't matter to the extent that if all the drivers are equal, the best car is going to win. And a fabulous driver with a crap car won't win. BUT, you do have to be a pretty damn good driver to achieve what Danica did on the weekend. If you can't drive, it doesn't matter how good the car ... you're not going to perform well.

I started watching formula 1 when I lived in the U.K. Racing is a really big deal in Europe.

I watch from time to time now. Would love to see an Indy race in person.

Never the safest place
I've always found sportscar racing more interesting than F1 and NASCAR. Milka Duno won the last Rolex series race, at Mont-Tremblant in Quebec.

She speaks three languages and has four master's degrees - kind of defines the term "out of my league".

In a way it's good that she didn't win otherwise she wins once and doesn't again people are going to say it was a fluke win or the guys let her win because she's a girl or she only won because of Rahal/Letterman.
Actually that is what was said, she only qualified well because she's driving for Rahal/Letterman.

Although she is pretty, she just doesn't do it for me. I'd give her a L7.5. With the right gear, I'm sure she turns heads which would put her into L8.0 territory. I try to be as objective as possible when rating looks since it's so subjective (hence the 2 tests I use). Sexiness is not just about looks though, it's about the whole package. I'd take many of the F1 grid girls over Danica.

I think theres something sexy in a women who looks good and is a pro athlete, like Sharapova, Kournikova, or Danica, even though there are many other women who look better.

Actually, I think Kournikova is super sexy even though she couldn't win a Tennis tournament if her life depended on it :D.

I've heard of Sharapova, I think I know her. If it's the same one you're talking about, I think she is sexy too. I also really liked S. Graf from the 90's and to a lesser extent G. Sabatini ( - she was on the border of being too "muscular" for my tastes).

I'd give her a 7.5 to 8.0 on pure looks, but on sexiness, I'd fuck her over many 8.0's and above.
