I want everyone to know that Dana felt good right up until she went into the hospital and it was a complete shock to find out at what stage the cancer was at and that her life was going to end so soon.

Do you happen to know what kind of cancer it was that took her?

Cancer seems to be in my family, stomach, pancreas and breast cancer.
I'm interested, to say the least.

I wonder if there's any family

in North America that is not touched by some form of cancer. . .

It must be the price that we have to pay for the "modern" life that we live in this continent. I wonder what the cancer rates are in other continents and what the level of pollution present in those areas.

To answer your questions:

Yes, its true and it was sudden and I believe unexpected for her. And, no she didn't look or act sick the last time I saw her which was in mid-January. It just points to the fragility of life.

Donations

In Memory of Dana
For those that would like to make a donation in Dana's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, there is a thread on CAF with instructions on how to do so anonymously. (It's a "sticky" in the General Discussion Forum)
Even a small donation in her memory would mean a lot.

What a fantastic idea, I think it's time to log on over there and see how to donate. My Favorite Aunty just died; last week, from 15+ years of fighting cancer. God willing I will go fast, as it's to hard on the loved ones around to suffer for years, so much heart break.
