Headline Version: Worst session of my life, go see anyone else at Reach.
I have seen a number of people at Reach over the last few years. I've had my favourites, but I love that I always get a good massage no matter who I see and I have genuinely enjoyed every session at Reach... until Dalia. You can see from my other reviews that I have suffered some awful massages in my day (never before at Reach), but this was a first for me in all my years with any provider - I stopped the session part way through.
When I arrived, she was in a big winter coat and in dim lighting. At barely a glance, I thought she was a cute, mid-20s latina. Turns out the coat was covering a lot. She's on the bigger side, I'd guess mid-30s latina woman. From her voice and throat clearing, I'd guess a smoker. She was dressed in the sort of 'lounging at home' clothes you never show to another living person and wear while scrubbing the bathroom. Of course, YMMV, but she was just oozing a hatred for her job. I tried to start a conversation and build some rapport, but was shut down with attitude.
The massage she gave was as though she thought I was a pile of towels she had to iron out flat with her forearms. I know some people like a hard massage with elbows and all that. I don't. Regardless, this wasn't an issue of pressure, it was an issue of what she was doing with that pressure. I got a huge headache from her massage, which was painful and careless and included several times of her fingers and elbows slipping and jamming me in the neck. I tried asking her to be more gentle, which led to a thing where she started drawing lines down my back with her elbow (not associated with any muscle group, just random, painful lines).
There was no tease. Honestly, she kept sliding her hands up my legs with such force and speed that I was seriously worried about getting jammed in an even more sensitive spot than my neck. The boys were literally inside me from fear and flinching.
She asked if I wanted more and my whole body was screaming no. I should have just ended it there while face down. But I felt guilty knowing that tips are her main income and she was suddenly making an effort to be seductive so I thought maybe she just hates the massage part and it would be different going forward. On the flip, she immediately hurt my boys while also tugging painfully on my VERY disinterested friend and that was it for me. I stood up, said I was done, gave the room fee (50) plus a small tip (30) and left. She clearly felt I didn't leave enough of a tip, but I don't have the words to express how awful that session was and the flip lasted less than a minute before I was telling her to stop. I'm bitter that I paid for a headache and ball pain.
I hate leaving bad reviews. Of course, it can be so many factors - we all have bad days at work, maybe I'm not her type, maybe anything! But I feel like this experience was so bad that I need to warn people. Reach has countless amazing providers, so definitely choose one of them instead.
