D and D and games

Dungeons and Dragons
I didn't play DD until I was in college. It was on the weekends I played. Last Friday I was at Chapters and I saw a shelf with DD books on it. Opened it up and started looking at character attributes. I started to wonder if this was where online games originated from for character attributes. From a board game to a video game.

How many of you still play board or card games?

Settlers of Catan, Carrasonne, chess, checkers.

For card games I have play Hands against Humanity, I never laughed so hard before....

Still play in a paper and pencil D&D group once a week. Nerd for life!

I remember my dad playing D and D on the Commodore 64 when I was young, then I started playing it a bit when I got older. Then played some pen and paper D and D with this guy on my street a bit.
After that I really got into the Final Fantasy series on Super Nintendo then PlayStation.

Anyways, D and D is heavily featured on Stranger Things. Wonder if that has and/or will spur a D and D comeback.
