I always wonder what kind of work each of us do to be able to see a particular provider. I have a decent job but it still takes a day and a half of work for 1 hour. That just the way my head works. Yes I’m down.

About the same for me in my job, with the ladies I was seeing last year (if we’re talking after tax dollars).

I’m lucky to be financially secure, and I can see anyone anytime pretty much regardless of price.
One thing that turns me off is sp’s flaunting their extravagant lifestyles while most people are struggling to get by. Dining out and spending a normal family’s monthly food bill. Flying back and forth to Europe or Dubai while claiming to be a student who needs money for college.
Findom is another thing that just seems fucking sick. Taking advantage of some vulnerable guy, draining his money, and abusing/ ridiculing him.
Rubbing this shit in people’s faces doesn’t seem right.
Another reason to see only two or three ladies who are decent human beings and not gold diggers.

Maya/Sativa mentioned in a thread she raised her rates to avoid seeing too many clients.

Can’t blame them if they can pull it off. It’s human nature to want to work less for more. If she had a goal of making 1200/day and previously was meeting six clients/day at 200 an hour. Now, if her regulars return, she is simply seeing three clients for 400 an hour. Cuts her workload in half for the same payday.
I wish sessions were 100% of my workload. They’re probably more like 5% 😂

I think I calculated that in busy times I make about $40 an hour. So, I feel you. Would take me 11 hours of work just to afford myself for an hour 😂

So much of sex work is class pageantry. Fancy dudes want fancy chicks. You spend more, you make more. My net is less than half of my gross. My lipo alone was 20k but my income went up substantially after I got it, for example. Botox, fillers, makeup, hair, nails, clothes, etc… you (clients) might say you don’t care about it but the numbers don’t lie. You do.

Things aren’t always what they seem. Just remember that social media is a lie. An extravagant tour could actually be extremely challenging and profitable. Or it could be a trip to visit family in disguise, with the hopes of getting a few bookings to cover travel costs.

Also findom is just a fetish. Being trained in findom as someone who likes to have multiple skills I learned that there’s a lot of work involved in making sure you don’t bankrupt or truly negatively impact a client. None of this is just flippant. It all takes a lot of work.

I don't, I'm not a fancy dude.
But the audience you're targeting are, which is great.

Since you're keeping track. The fillers, Botox, nails, etc. Which one caused the biggest spike in business? Was it sustained? Did each treatment individually stack in to your revenue? At what point did you reach where more treatments didn't mean more business? Do you ever re-evaluate your treatments when business dips or spikes?

Do these treatments still pay for themselves after a sustained period of application?

Are these treatments purely for financial gain? If so, would you get say a boob job to bump up earnings 100k? Where is the line you won't cross for revenue?

I totally know what you mean! I have a visceral feeling of disgust to seeing that sort of thing on Twitter/X. I know most of them are carefully curating what they post professionally towards what they think their target audience likes to see, but it’s such a turn off for me. I like to see honest comments about life stuff, some humour or silliness, some eye candy of course. What a pain it must be to constantly have to generate that stuff.

Hey Charlee. Thanks for chiming in from the “other” side of things. What do you hear from your side? Are the more expensive and less expensive providers more insulated than the average SP from a lot of clients having to cut back? Or is it slower across the board?

Oh I have more questions! There are clearly providers who don't prescribe to the approach to the business as you, and in the end use far less treatments, or put far less effort for far greater income. How do you compare or adjust your own strategy and rationale when you see that?

There's this thing when a provider starts and is the new girl and has nice chunk of change where before there was none. Then one day you see on their Instagram or Snap or whatever a photo of thousands of dollars in hundreds spread over a mattress. It's kinda gross. It's also kinda amazing. But still kinda gross.

Congratulations for discovering sex sells.

I haven't been "active" since late 2019 (COVID and all). I've noticed quite an improvement in my savings, so I'm very reluctant to return to spending what I was before. With the price of life in general spiking, I'm paying more attention to where/how I'll be living when I can no longer work.

A few long retired ones have made low key contacts. Everyone could use some quick cash.
It is an unwritten law in this hobby that providers do not reach out to clients or potential clients unless a safe communication method has been agreed on.
In these two cases that was not done.
How do you answer to your family when your phone goes ping at Sunday night dinner.
“So who was that?”

Fortunately nobody tells me who I can talk to. This won’t work for family guys.
Any lady I really like knows they can call me 24/7 if they need to, or want to.
There have been a few times when I helped women who were in a bind. No big deal.

BTW my father often got phone calls at odd hours due to his job,I get them too. Some moron at work thinks not being able to find a stapler is an emergency?

I wonder if we are going to see independent providers mostly become a thing of the past, as someone who almost exclusively poons downtown vancouver, it seems like thats already starting to happen around here.

Exclusively downtown? Yeah, I'd say your choice would be two extremes: Either top-shelf VIP elite 'courtesans' charging $500 for a 15 min "meet and greet to see if you two are compatible with no sex involved until the next session where you're expected to pay $1000 for 30 mins with no extras" types, or crackwhores of DTES that just want their fix anyway they can.

Since cutting back so much this year, I was kind of shocked to see how much I spent last year.

Most of my sessions have been downtown, and nothing super high end or low end…all independents. My 2022 90 min rate probably averaged 650. At this point, the same providers start around 650 and go up to 900 if they even offer 90 min anymore. Not sure if I’m going offside by mentioning that… I guess the mods will delete or shut down if needed. Certainly not identifying anyone and it’s just my experience with who I like to see within my means
