Not directly... but I did want to make it clear that I didn't get it done just for the sake of getting it done. I read through as many blogs and personal stories from people who also had the procedure done as an adult to make more of an informed decision and I feel that I made the right decision and I'm going to stand by it :)
Fair enough, I did acknowledge that there may be legitimate reasons to have it done when I was referring to you. We probably agree more than anything.

Well no shit sherlock... obviously circumcision is painful without anesthesia. Not every child getting circumcised is doing it straight-up by a Rabbi who then sucks the blood of the newborns penis to insulate the wound.
Looks like large percentage of circumcision is done without anaesthesia. You "didn't feel a thing", because yours was done using anaesthetics.

"Stang, 1998, found 45% of physicians used anaesthesia - most commonly a dorsal penile nerve block - for infant circumcisions. Obstetricians used anaesthesia significantly less often (25%) than family practitioners (56%) or pediatricians (71%)." Wikipedia

Life is different to day

I was circumcised 53 years ago. it was commen then , but you still had to ask for it , My dad insisted that I was circumcised . He was not and from his personal experience , wish he had been. One reason was sensitivity, an other was cleanliness. Where we live in a country where we can have a shower or bath, with clean water and soap , That was not all way the case in the rest of the world. and whee my dad had lived it was not all ways possible. so he experienced the down side of having a fore skin.
I am quit happy the way it is..
The one thing that the mothers don't think about . is that because there baby boy has a fore skin, it does get infected from dipper rash. They have to make sure they change the dipper as soon as they are wet. because the fore skin traps bacteria
And as an adult, some sadistic claimed that is easier to get an STD if you have a fore skin because once again it traps bacteria.

For babies, it all depends on whether the child actually needs one. Much like MrPeterNorth, I "chose" to be cut as an adult and I can say that my sex life is probably slightly less than before (but there's also other variety of reasons). Previously I had "too much" foreskin, therefore nearly impossible to clean and making intercourse kind of painful at times. Since I've spend the better part of my life having the head part covered, it's now very very sensitive when touched (more sex would probably solve that problem :D ). Can't say whether it feels better or not, but for myself, I didn't lose any feeling, but it's just "different" now.

The only thing I'm angry now is the the fact that my mom didn't cut me when I was a baby:mad: . You're too young to remember at that age, and it's probably just one additional pain to your many pains. Being ask at age 10 wasn't that pleasant either, as this smiley was my facial reaction -> Hence, age 18:(

Last thing, if you're uncut you physically can't be as clean as being cut (still relatively clean), so doesn't being exposed to bacteria and stuff more often allows the greater chance of diseases and stuff? (not a docter here)

Hmmm

Well it's nice to see all the ladies agreeing that it should not be cut away and that it's the way you were born and it's barbaric. But to all you lovely ladies out there i wish you'd listen to some of your own advice your all beautifull the way you were born so stop looking in the mirror and wondering how much better you'd look with D cups. I'm a guy and yet to this date have never heard a man complain about the size of any girls boobs. Small, Medium, Large we love them all.
So join us uncircumsized men and stay natural.

Just my two cents worth

I do not know how to quote....Sorry. When I referred to it as mutilation I was referring to the circumcision of babies....I actually have done research and talked to many doctors before I ever made any decisions regarding it....I am not a man so I have no idea what it is like to be one. I just feel like it is cosmetic when not done for medical reasons and I do not have the right to make decision about something that does not belong to me.I would not give baby a nose job......to me it is all the same.As an adult do what you want....Oh and I agree Sandman77 I tell women all the time to love themselves and their bodies size 2 or 12 I never advocate any cosmetic procedure.....LOve your body and yourself it took years to grow......and you should cherish each wrinkle and stretchmark....a female body is the bearer of life and should always be honored and loved......

It's also nice to see the black-and-white narrow-minded approach work so well for you. Did you not read anything that I wrote? Or do you view everything in the world with rose-colored glasses? I think my biggest objection to this whole argument are the words "mutilation" and "barbaric". To assume all RIC are "barbaric" is simply ignorant. With anesthesia and the right doctor it is a painless procedure. I do not endorse any other method of circumcision. If I have a son, he will be circumcised with anesthesia, low and tight. I think I've beaten this horse to death by now :(

uncut

Wash cloth + bar of soap = clean cock.
cut or not.
I take a shower everyday and keep my cock and all other parts clean.
It's that simple. We don't live in the middle ages with limited supply of water!!

Never had a complain from any of the girls:D. Uncut is natural.
If you are cut and happy good for you. I did notice though that 'cut' guys always seem to have this hygiene complex.
Are you guys 'missing' something? pun intended!

i'm uncut. and i have absolutely not prob with it. it makes my tip major sensitive, and it feels great. i'm not knocking the cut folks, but i'm happy the way it is. and i as well have never had a complaint from an sp.

I didn't bother reading this thread in it's entirety because frankly I'm shocked that there is even a debate. Even if you overlook the disgusting odour and it's hideous worm like appearance, there is one reason alone that makes the clipped penis the victor in this little jousting match...

I can't believe I'm agreeing to this, but yes COCK has a good point.
I personally like the cut ones.
If there is a lot less sensation. I guess just work harder(pun intended).
I have had some horrible experiences with uncut. Not talking about work wise, as I do everything safe.
I have dated uncut and let me tell you the smell and the things going on in there were:eek: . That is even after showers which I joined to do extra special cleaning.
I'm just glad I got my son's done at birth, I'm sure they will thank me later. They won't know about any other sensations that might have been greater.

Trust me... as a man who's been on both sides of the fence, cut is by far greater. Longer orgasms, more erogenous zones when you factor in the scar line and an inner-foreskin now exposed it's truly wonderful.

I think most guys are clean right out of a shower... and I'd hope to think by now you uncut guys know how to wash yourselves properly. But here's where your cleanliness issue goes down the drain... my cut cock will still be pretty much as clean 5 and 6 hours after taking a shower and going about my day (exercise not withstanding - nobody likes sweaty balls) and I can still have spontaneous sex with a girlfriend and not even have to think for a second whether it 'might' smell or whatnot. I know for a fact uncut dudes will already start to be a little smelly, and would probably want to take another shower immediately prior... thus negating the "spontaneity".

My biggest regret... is not having the operation done sooner.

Good points MPN. Myself, being cut from birth I cannot comment on the sensation or lack there of issue. I know that I have always enjoyed intemate time with any lady I have been with.

That said, my stepson is not cut (obviously I had no say on the issue) and when our second was born, my wife and I were really struggling over whether or not to have had him cut or not. Fortunately she was a girl so we didn't have to make that decision.

So you had it done as an adult? I always wanted to talk to one of you guys! I have so many questions;

Did they give you a local anesthetic?

Did you watch the procedure?

Did it hurt very much afterwards?

Did you save the piece and keep in a little jar on your desk?

Was it weird to get a boner for the first time without a foreskin?

Did it take time for your knob to toughen up and stop being all wet and veiny looking?

Why did you do it? What was your motivation?

Seriously, I've been a big advocate for circumcision forever and I just hate the argument of "sex is better uncut" because it's bullshit. How do they know...but you my friend know the truth.

You're a brave, brave man. Not many would allow the end of their dick to be cut off, even if they wanted to. I salute you :)

LOL! I think Mr. Peternorth is trying to convert all men to cut cock.

dude we discussed it to death. it's a preference thing not a hygiene thing. as many of the other uncut guys as well as myself have said we have never gotten any complaints about stinky penises.

the real argument was whether or not circumcision should be a process when one is an infant, with not choice in the matter. and in my opinion i think a male should choose when he's an adult

It's much more than just a "preference"...you should really read the articles that cockbot 6000 posted links to. One study showed a 62% reduction in the chances of a circumcised man catching becoming HIV positive. And this isn't some study done with here in North America, this is a study done in Africa where you know damn well these guys are banging chicks with the Hivvy.

When I have a child I want to do everything in my power to protect it form as many bad things in the world as possible. If a tiny little procedure can dramatically reduce his risk of getting a disease later in life then you can bet your smelly ass that it's going to get done...even if I have to do it myself with a rusty car opener and fish hook!

(I cant really imagine what part a fish hook would play in the procedure, I was just trying to make it sound as disturbing as possible)

Sexy Nina, are you seriously making the comparison between breast cancer and a sexually transmitted disease? I hope you aren't because that would force me and anyone else with a modicum of intelligence to deem you an moronic boob.

Listen up, Hot Rodney is going to give you all a free biology lesson. Here's the way it works. Women are at a greater risk of contracting STD's then men because they have a vagina which is all warm and juicy and is the perfect little incubator for viruses, infectious bacteria, etc. Uncircumcised men basically have what amounts to a mini-cunt on the end of their penis and it is also a warm snugly place for determined little microscopic critters to make a home and start a family. Remove the mini-cunt, draw back the shades and let some sunshine in and a guy drastically reduces the risk of catching something from whatever dirty snatch he decides to stick his dick into.

Just think about that the next time you're about to fuck an uncircumcised guy Nina...there is over a 60% chance that he is infected with HIV if he leads a high risk lifestyle. Now you tell me, who's dick would you rather have in you.

The defence rests.

Case closed.

I win.

you lose.

You can all feel free to hoist me upon your shoulders and parade me about as the victor :)

The HIV argument is kind of a lame reason IMO. While the risk may be lower, it's still going to be so much greater from zero that the guy is still going to have to wear a condom anyways. That pretty much defeats the purpose of getting cut in the first place if that's the main motivation, which it shouldn't be and isn't the topic of discussion.
