Curious Trend - Thoughts?

Given what I've seen, I've wondered if there's been a possible increase in these types of posts. Especially from old low post accounts.
I say "possible" as sometimes it's really hard to be certain if a post is likely a shill or is a review from an enthusiastic newbie.
There may be clues though. The review in question uses similar words and phrases as used in other "story" like reviews (and I mean "story" in a good way),
or when asked, no reply with relevant info is posted.

During my few years in this hobby, there's always been shill posts.

My very first review was from a regular who offered to write it, only he had never reviewed before, and he got torn apart with the shill accusations. So it's not always fake.

However, usually when you see something that is too good to be true, it usually is. Especially in a small community like Victoria. Sometimes I look through the BP listings to check out other girls on the scene, and I'll see photos that look like Victoria's Secret models. After a slight panic that a Heidi Klum lookalike lives here, I look them up on perb. Guess what? Usually a bait and switch, a thug boyfriend who "forgot" his wallet and forces pooners to pay up and leave or risk assault, lied about services, drug users, etc etc. I guess it's really hit or miss until someone does that TOFTT and reviews. Everyone has to start somewhere, so there's really no guarantee, unfortunately.

What's worse is that people don't review their faves. It almost pays to be mediocre, as far as reviews go.

Very true. Some of the best SP's are never reviewed. Or if someone does post a review of a gem, then other pooners will chime in their fantastic time since the cat is out of the bag. Most guys don't want all the leeches to wear out their favorites.

I've seen some really attractive SP's with fantastic service, and some have either no reviews or next to no mentions anywhere.

It is strange that escorts actually post in the review area. I would think 10 times out of 10 that would hurt business.

Of course, there is one other newer trend occurring that might be causing former lurkers to post the occasional review - and that hasn't been mentioned yet: references. There are an increasing number of ladies who will not see someone unless you either "have a reference or have a website handle that has posted actual reviews" (and sometimes then PM them on said website using that handle).

So if you want to see certain ladies, then you have a choice: see some other lady first and get her to agree to give you a reference if asked, or start posting a few reviews...

I have a number of SPs who I use as references. I have been told a number never get a call on me. I think some ask to see if you have them but most do not call them especially if they are in another city.

Well, here I am, true to my handle, on this site again.

I felt like I was the exactly guy the poster was asking about. I rarely come to perb, and post even less.

See, I'm a guy in a good relationship, doesn't want to ruin it, but still needs on very rare occasions wants to feel like a big dog and remember my youth and relive some of it. At the same time I want to minimize my risk so, I come here, and I begin to search because I have very specific criteria. Just to be clear, in 25 years I have done this approximately a dozen times, that's it. A rare treat, then I go back and put my collar on and bark at the end of my chain again (happily).

I can't recall, but I think I might have about a dozen posts (or less) in that amount of time. Since I'm getting an opportunity again, I'm back on the boards and checking things out. I've read and viewed so many posts here and escort sites via this forum over the years and seen lots of names come and go, many of them I never saw. As again, it's a rare treat. So I usually show up , like now, to see whats changed. Providers I had thought about are usually gone so I start checking out the "new" ones since my last visit and reading their reviews, their websites, and their posts to find the right one.

Now some of you are rushing to check my posts, and I only found 2 that I started and going back they were a great read. "Calli" was a wonderful I had spend the night with me in Vancouver and reading that brought back memories! Saphire, though my post wasn't as eloquent was my first SP that I found through perb and my first review. I figured that if I have a good time I will post as a thank you to the Lady, and the guys who posted before me to help me find the girl in the first place.

My criteria (other than the physical stuff);

- they must have a website, and a quality one.
- they must be one perb and be reviewed and active.


So it's simply that, a rare time for me to post, no shilling, and that really doesn't bother me if people claim that because I know they are wrong. I've been planning my latest treat for awhile (with help from the boards again) and I found what I was looking for. We've had a few problems arranging the meet, my SP had to cancel at the last minute, almost harshing my mellow, but she has been very sweet and is trying to arrange another date for us tomorrow.

I'm assuming good things will happen, and when they do I might post about how much I appreciated their efforts, but I generally ask for permission. Some of us are just meant to be "lurkers".
