In spite of the marathon acts portrayed in many reviews here, your "friend" should know that what he experiences is on the long side of "average"; which is about 7 minutes (if I remember right) according to studies (and mentioned in another thread a couple of months ago).
To last even longer, it is necessary to stop and start the action throughout the sex part: change positions, change condoms, etc. If he (or anyone else) is lasting 10+ minutes, that condom should be changed anyway as they can't last forever with a lot of activity. Surprisingly - I find a lot has to do with breathing techniques. I hardly do kegel's and lasting a long time has never been a problem. So yes it is possible to have 20 minutes of BJ, 30 minutes of hard passionate sex, and then finish with a BJ and only finish once in an hour...
