with a pot that big, i suspect the first inquiry a winner might make is for some fairly sophisticated security. For self. For family.

There's likely more than a few of the local crime community that wouldn't hesitate to do something to get their hands on even a fraction of that kind of wealth.
I'm secretly hoping the winning ticket is…uh, was a consortium of a number of people rather than a single winner. you know, spread the joy.

Three winning ticket were sold: California as noted above, Tennessee and Florida. Even with three, it still doesn't look good for the gamblers on this board.
Not surprising since they were "birthday numbers", I think it's great that there are three winners. Since the media can't handle more than one story/issue at a time, they'll be unable to harass all three winners to death and investigate the "breaking news" about how the winner's great great grandmother was a servant in Louis XIV's household before escaping to the service of the Tsar, where she became the grandmother of Anastasia whom she hid in a small plantation in Louisiana and where the Anastasia bore the winner's mother.
