I'm a believer that these troubled teens could be pushed in the right direction.
we have to talk to them while pre-teen.

but when innocent citizens are killed over cigarettes or for no reason at all, that's where the system should draw the line. how do we curb these insane act? simple–let's bring back Capital Punishment.

Also, if an addict catches something from sharing needles, that's their problem, and if possible, I would definitely opt to remove them from the health care system. Addicts catching diseases is a case of survival of the fittest....who are we to intervene? They are not contributing to society in any way, and the majority are leeching.
The problem with this is this violates the ethics of a health care provider. As is my understanding, they're pretty much bound by their ethics to provide care when needed, which puts a drain on the health care system. So if you can prevent HIV and Hep C from happening in the first place, that's leading to a fairly significant savings in health care dollars.

Excellent question dood.

Sad thing is, there will always be crazy motherfuckers, no matter what. What we should try to do is create a society where everyone is loved, cared for and feels like a part of something larger than themselves. Of course, we have no idea of how to do it, so our prisons will eternally be full.

The only way to end the crime problem is to kill everyone. No humans, no crimes. A 100% effective solution, but I think we lose the patient on the table.

If anyone has any better ideas that will actually work (other than mob rule which will truly put us all in the shitter), let me know. Be sure to give us an example from the real world too.

E.g. Japan is closer to the harmonious society of which I speak (that the society where everyone is happy, loved, a part of something etc. and they are waaaaay closer to it than we are), but they have some truly strange and fucked up crimes over there too. With millions of us running around like caged rats in the societies we have created, crime of all sorts is inevitable.

The Duke was right. Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out.

As far as health care ethics, perhaps they need to be changed. Unfortunately, the average citizen is not aware of how many tax dollars are WASTED on crack addicts that get frostbite cuz they were too cracked out pay attention to the weather, or the crack addicts that burn their finger tips off using their pipes, or the crack addicts that go "suicidal" when they're coming down and are out of drugs....so they go to the hospital and create a ruckus to get sedatives and a warm bed to sleep in, and a meal. Addicts should be made to suffer the reprocutions of their actions, just like any other relatively sober living adult. Why should their lives be easier?
Unfortunately, that type of logic can be applied to a whole host of medical conditions that have their causes rooted in, or strongly associated with, lifestyle choices. Heart disease, stroke, cancer (eg lung, colon etc..), type II diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia are just a few off the top of my head. Given that the first three listed are the top three causes of death in North America, that's a lot of people being denied care if we're going to be taking the stance of "you brought this on yourself". I can't imagine too many health care providers being very comfortable with that viewpoint.

How's capital punishment going to fix it man. The USA has it..and it's got the highest crime rate in the Western World.
Capital Punishment is not the answer.

We've developed into a society where nobody is responsible for their actions.

Johnny doesn't fail because he doesn't study, he fails because the test is biased.

It's not Jimmy's fault that he doesn't know how to not get caught (HONEST TO GOD this was a response from a father who was a VP of a financial institution when his son's behaviour was brought into question. I WAS THERE!!).

Teachers are assaulted by parents.

I could go on and on.

These twerps need to be put on the straight and narrow before they cross from misbehaving young kids to cold blooded killers. Alberta and British Columbia have a lot of space for work camps in the north. Make the fuckers pay by working instead of trying to understand them.

How many of us touch the hot burner of the stove after we've been burned? I say we torch the little fuckers good and make them scared to death of their next encounter with the law. We'd have a better society if we were afraid of breaking the law instead of walking the streets.

I just don't think it's fair that tax revenue is being used to maintain the prison systems as it is. If I were to make the laws, inmates would have to do some kind of work to justify tax payers' money and to pay for their room and board, health insurance, etc., just like the rest of us. They could save up any leftover money to order a take-out, take a day off work, purchase extra time for communication with the outside, or whatever. Of course it won't be like a concentration camp, but reasonable amount of workload keeps people occupied and exercised.

You baaad mean bullies!

Almost hope there was a next time so those nice young lads could properly thank those silly twits without interference from you!

Well I don't think we had any intention of hurting these kids at all.

It was just very frustrating, the same people who, well helped the kids get away, and called the police on us. Seemed the type that would bitch the most about teenagers doing crime. My friends and I were on the way home from work, all of us in nice suits, hardly out looking to beat up on kids for no reason. I still remember one of the ladies calling me a bully

Edmonton wins with the highest HIV infection among street wokers. They stated that 25% of the girls are infected! Kamloops was second in the country with 18% (24% in the Native population).

as for the "kids" trying to rob you. The second one pulls a weapon he/she isn't a kid anymore and deserves to get smashed upside the head. Let them think about the decisions they have made while sitting in the hospital getting stitched up! Fuk the bleeding hearts and hold onto the punks till the cops can wisk them away.
