Well, part of the job of a moderator is to ensure the we adhere to the highest standards under the circumstances. I reviewed that thread posted asking about a particular song and given it's content and lyrics, it very well could be construed as advocating some kind of relationship with an underage girl, so it simply cannot be allowed to remain in the lounge. Underage issues plague boards like ours and ad sites, they are the 3rd rail of the adult industry. Nothing can come close to them or possibly face unrelenting attention from abolitionists, hackers, law enforcement extra. I was told by Fred Zed when I started that even the merest hint of underage actions or mentions needed to be removed immediately, so I am sticking with that.

Please do feel free to continue the discussion, but the song itself should not be linked or posted. thanks

Could not agree more. Juvenile issues should be brought up only by the mods when dealing with
handing out bannings and time off's. "juvenile" meaning they way they were acting to receive those penalty's.

Creepy song I like is by Metallica. Enter Sandman.
Sleep with one eye open, hugging your pillow tight. EXIT LIGHT, ENTER NIIIIGHT, Grain of sand.

WE'RE OFF TO NEVER NEVER LAND.

love it !!!!!!

As noted, it was the underage issue that resulted in it's removal. No ban was put in place, just a deletion of the thread, and this one to replace it. We also don't allow discussion of illegal drugs, which has always been done. We may not agree with the powers that be on the legality of the sex trade, but we don't provide a venue to discuss any other "criminal" activity.

I get your point but it's a slippery slope to start censoring posts because the subject matter may be offensive.

Why not just kill the whole thread since a large percentage of creepy songs are likely going to involve some offensive or lllegal behaviour?

Is Father Figure by George Michael acceptable ("put your tiny hand in mine "?) -
And there are tons of songs in the same vein

Or how about "Pumped up kicks" (shooting up a school ).

Or ones about stalking, voyeurism, necrophilia and so on.

Under age sex is disgusting but why draw the line there ? It's a lounge discussion about creepy songs. The songs are self selecting as offensive and inappropriate

Just because someone points out that type of song (that you censored ) doesn't mean the rest of us think you're condoning underage sex, or that it's going to trigger us to engage in that activity.

With a topic like creepy songs , I say either let people post legitimate items to respond or, if the topic is too loaded, kill the whole thread.

Not having seen the original song, now I'm super curious what song it was that triggered you to ban it.

Just one opinion but I did appreciate the explanation.
It was Benny Mardones "Into the Night"
